We fade into the program with a video recap showing us what happened at the conclusion of last week’s Turmoil. It was AJ Styles versus John Cena in the main event. Cena, a chosen opponent for Styles by Rob Van Dam. AJ won the match, but afterward he was FU’d by Cena and then Chris Jericho came down to the ring to pick the bones. The KWF World Heavyweight Champion was making a statement, the same kind of statement that he’d made the previous week, by putting RVD in a Walls of Jericho. Last week, Turmoil once again concluded with Jericho administering the Walls and just how Styles didn’t save RVD, Van Dam chose not to save AJ Styles either.

The ♫opening video♫ «< click to watch) plays and we come into the pyro’s exploding on stage as JR and William Regal bring us into the show. They tell us that tonight it’s the turn of AJ Styles to pick a main event opponent for KWF World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. They announce that we expect to see the new challenger to the Hardcore Title, Sheamus, take on a former Hardcore Champion, Mark Henry, plus we’ve got Tag Team action as Samoe Joe and Alex Shelley team for the very first time and they take on the strong and mighty of the British Invasion; the Welsh Dragons Mason Ryan and Rob Terry. Turmoil begins though with the ♫entrance music of Alberto Del Rio♫ «< click to play). Ricardo Rodriguez is in the ring and he introduces Alberto out. The comms wonder what’s on Del Rio’s mind as the crowd boo his entrance. He gets in the ring and addresses the fans: “Be quiet! I don’t want to be here as much as you don’t want me here, but I’ve been sitting in the back for weeks and General Manager Edge, I’m calling you out right now!” The crowd boo Del Rio’s words, but cheer at the top of their lungs as ♫Edge’s music hits♫ «< click to play) and the GM makes his way to the ring. He’s handed a mic and he compliments Del Rio on his suit. Del Rio: “Shut up! I’m not here to play up to you Edge. I’m not going to kiss your culo and ask kindly for what I want. I’m here to tell you that I deserve recognition casero!” Edge nods and smiles, looking toward the crowd. He says: “Alright. You know what, I’ll hear you out, what exactly should you be recognized for Alberto?” Del Rio says that he is the richest of the rich and that he shouldn’t be mis-treated as just another superstar in the KWF locker room. He says that he wants and deserves spotlight and refers to the fact that Kurt Angle and CM Punk are now set to have their second pay-per-view match in a row – and Del Rio can’t even get a match on Turmoil. Edge takes in what Del Rio has to say and says: “You think you’re as good as Angle and Punk huh?” Del Rio: “Of course! I’m better than them, I’m better than everyone in this company and it’s about time you gave me the spotlight I deserve!” Edge nods and says: “Okay, I’ll tell you what Del Rio. You’ve asked and you’re gonna receive. How about this; Kurt Angle versus CM Punk versus Alberto Del Rio in a three-way Submission match at SummerSlam?!” Del Rio is ecstatic, he smiles and Ricardo Rodriguez, beside him, is happy too, but the fans boo. Edge: “But. Now you must know that there’s always a ‘but’… first you gotta earn your way to that match by defeating Kurt Angle right here tonight!” Del Rio’s expression completely changes and he is instantly angry as the fans cheer: “You put me in a three-way Submission, but I have to face Angle first? That’s not fair perro! (he curses in his native tongue).” Edge: “Actually, you’re only in the Submission match if you defeat Kurt Angle. Oh and compadre, your match against Kurt is next!” Edge hands the mic back to ringside and exits the ring to his ♫music♫ «< click to play). The commentary duo cannot believe what’s happened. JR: “Good Lord, what a start to Turmoil! Alberto Del Rio came out here looking for an opportunity, looking for spotlight, and boy does he have it tonight!” Regal: “Oh come on Jim, Del Rio isn’t even in his ring attire. He’s not warmed up, he’s not ready for a match with Kurt Angle! Jesus!” JR: “Aww folks it’s going to happen. Del Rio versus Angle is up next Live here on Turmoil!” We see Del Rio removing his suit-jacket and shirt, handing his clothes to Rodriguez as we fade to commercials.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Kurt Angle

Angle has made his entrance during the commercial break and the bell rings as we get underway in our opening bout of the night. Rodriguez watches on nervously at ringside as his master wrestles in his suit-pants. Angle looks as focused as ever and he immediately goes at Del Rio’s lower body. Del Rio backs up and steps between the ropes. The crowd boo as JR says: “The man wanted a chance at the big boys, so come on, get on with it Alberto!” Regal responds: “Quiet down Jim, this is tactics. Del Rio’s not dumb enough to have his waist and his legs targeted, he knows that’ll lead to an ankle lock. Plus the man didn’t even know he’d face an Olympic Gold Medalist tonight for God sake.” The contest goes on with Del Rio often evading Angle wherever he can, and capitalizing on Kurt’s overzealous attacks, to counter and ground him. Regal: “Yes, that’s it. Much better. See Mister Ross, I told you it was all tactics. Del Rio’s a very shrewd man. He wouldn’t have become as rich and as successful as he is if he wasn’t clever.” Del Rio has Angle on the canvas and he administers a grounded version of the abdominal stretch. JR says that this is a smart move because it keeps Angle off his feet. However, Angle maneuvers to clutch Del Rio over on the canvas and he gets him into a pinning predicament for Two on the cover. Del Rio gets up, shocked at Angle’s flexibility and JR says: “Of course, you never really know when you’re in charge against Kurt Angle. The man is a supreme athlete, tenacious and even when you’re on top, he can turn the move around and beat you.” The match continues back and forth and Del Rio certainly wants to prove that he deserves to share the same ring with Kurt Angle, let alone get into a pay-per-view match between Angle and Punk this Sunday. Del Rio becomes overzealous and this leads to a mistake, one that Angle capitalizes on and he hooks his opponent up and over for a superb Angle Slam! Ricardo Rodriguez shouts and yells for Del Rio to kick out, but he can’t do it and Angle gets the Three!

Winner: Kurt Angle.

♫Angle’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and the crowd are on their feet for the victory. Ricardo Rodriguez goes to help Del Rio to his feet and Del Rio’s facial expression tells us that he’s angry at not getting what could have been a career-changing victory. The comms declare that in the end it was an Olympic-like performance from Kurt and JR says that he knows for a fact that Kurt Angle is proud of USA Bronze Medal winner Coleman Scott for his performance at the London Games. The comms review replays of the match and tell that Angle is in great form ahead of Sunday.

Last week on Turmoil: Frankie Kazarian and Sin Cara qualified and took the final two spots in the upcoming Ultimate-X X-Division Title match at KWF SummerSlam. Samoa Joe ditched Daniel Bryan in favor of a surprising proposal from Alex Shelley. King Dolph defeated Shelton Benjamin. Panther continued on his search for Gambit. AJ Lee and Jay Lethal defeated Maryse and Christian Cage. We were treated to a four-Chick Battle Royal where the winner would be declared number one contender to face AJ Lee for the Women’s Title at SummerSlam. And in the main event, AJ Styles was scheduled, but who did RVD choose as his opponent? None other than the Doctor of Thuganomics, John Cena! Backstage Live, we’re with KWF interviewer Jeremy Borash: “Yes ladies and gentlemen SummerSlam is shaping up to be even bigger than Sovereignty 4. But one man who didn’t compete at Sovereignty 4 was my guest at this time, please welcome, KWF’s Intercontinental Champion; Christian Cage.” Cage steps onto the picture with a smile on his face. JB: “Christian you were not involved at Sovereignty 4 because you took that decision away from General Manager Edge.” Cage interrupts: “Now come on Borash, I didn’t take anything away. What I did was show that I’m a fighting Champion, a Champ that gives opportunities to those that don’t often get a chance at Gold. I gave the fans matches that they wanted JB. I took on Eric Young, Zack Ryder and I did have someone else in mind, but I guess I can’t hand out those chances anymore.” JB: “Well Christian, you are booked for a Title defense at SummerSlam. Are you worried at all as to whom your opponent might be? Edge is keeping it a secret, much like you kept your previous Turmoil Title defenses a secret. Cage: “Aaww, I don’t know JB, of course not knowing my opponent is a disadvantage. But, I’m looking to embrace the challenge you know. Really give the fans what they want and defend this Championship with dignity and honor. I sincerely hope that Edge does what I did and gives someone a chance who is worthy of it. Someone deserving, someone who doesn’t always get an opportunity to shine. I’m sure it will be a great match JB and I’m looking forward to putting on a show for the fans.” Cage exits the scene and Borash hands it back to ringside.

♫Big Show’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and we’re back Live in the main arena. Show enters in a suit as the comms discuss Christian. William Regal says that Edge is lucky to have such a Champion, one that can be admired and one who is not afraid of a challenge. JR says that Christian is sugarcoating this whole scenario: “The reason why Cage defended the Intercontinental Championship on Turmoil’s against his hand-picked opponents was to take the power away from Edge and not have to face big challenges at pay-per-views. It wasn’t that Edge didn’t want him on pay-per-views, but his hands were tied because Christian would only have to defend the Gold once within every 30-day KWF Title defense ruling. Cage thought he was clever and for a while, he was getting away with it. But not now, not come SummerSlam. I can’t wait to see who Edge has lined up for Cage’s opponent.” Big Show sits beside Regal at the announcer’s desk and puts on a headset as he joins commentary for this upcoming bout. ♫Sheamus’ music♫ «< click to play) hits and the crowd are on their feet for the entrance of the new threat to the Hardcore Championship. JR: “It’s Sheamus versus Show at SummerSlam folks, but first the Celtic Warrior has to get through Mark Henry – and that’s next Live on Wednesday Night Turmoil!”

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry – Big Show on commentary

Henry’s come out during commercials and Sheamus eyeballs Big Show before the bell rings. Show: “He better watch Henry is what he better be doing.” The contest gets underway and the two behemoths lock it up. Sheamus tries to push Henry toward the ropes, but the World’s Strongest Man is far too strong and he roars before pushing Sheamus away instead. He stalks Sheamus toward the corner, but the Irishman is able to get a leg up and boot Henry right in the face. Sheamus perches himself on the middle turnbuckle and jumps to attempt a bulldog, but Henry is magnificent as he catches Sheamus over his back and flips him over his shoulder with a modified snapmare. Regal: “Goodness me, even a man the size of Sheamus finds it tough to take Henry down.” Big Show: “Yeah and Mark’s throwing him around like a rag doll. The guy’s an idiot if he thinks he can beat me on Sunday. If Henry’s dominating like this, I’ll have Sheamus out in a matter of seconds at SummerSlam.” The contest goes on in very much the same theme. Henry’s strength and shear power would overwhelm Sheamus any time he can mount a sustainable offense. This in time wears Sheamus down and Henry looks to be in prime position for a victory. Big Show says that he hopes Sheamus loses purely so that he can realize what a mess he’d made for himself in challenging Show for his Hardcore Title. The crowd chant Sheamus’ name while he’s down in the corner and Henry yells at him to try something. Sheamus gets up and runs toward Henry with a clothesline, but he can’t take the big man down. Henry barks at Sheamus again, who comically gets up and asks Henry for one more shot. Henry gets himself into a stance and yells: “Come on! Gimme what you got!” Sheamus backs up and looks like he’s going to attempt another clothesline but “Aaawww! Oh my God!” yells JR as Sheamus sprints to Henry and knocks his head off with a Brogue Kick! He covers and the crowd count along with the referee for ‘One!’ ‘Two!’ and ‘Three!’

Winner: Sheamus.

The crowd go nuts as the comms review replays of that almighty Brogue Kick. Regal: “Cooor, blimey, what a move that was. What was Henry doing?! Flippin’ ‘eck, you can’t give Sheamus a free shot like that.” Big Show: “You can’t and I won’t. He won’t be getting anything but a lesson on Sunday. He may have beaten a former Hardcore Champion, but this Belt, it’s staying with me.” Show stands up and removes his headset before walking around the ring. Sheamus keeps his eyes on him all the way and he points to Show before signaling the Belt around his waist. Regal: “I’m sure the crowd would love for Sheamus to be Hardcore Champ, but there’s a reason why the Big Show has been so dominant over the past several months JR.” JR: “Oh there’s no doubting that, but maybe, just maybe, Sheamus will have enough to get the job done. This victory will have filled him with confidence and I for one can’t wait until Sheamus meets Show at SummerSlam.”

It’s rustic video time again, and Edge’s specially hired head-hunter, Panther, is walking out of a hotel. He faces the cameraman and enlightens us as to how his search for Gambit has gone so far. “Hey there KWF fans, Panther here. It’s week three of my search for Remy. Last week I headed to his home town of New Orleans. I went to every bar there, but ended up getting drunk and passing out in the gutter. However, the next night I did the search properly, but still not luck. I had to think where is the most likely place he’d be after New Orleans? Well where Remy is, Kelly will be near, so here I am in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Now as much as I’d love to try the bars here, the sleuthing detective in me has led me (quick screen wipe) here, to Kelly Kelly’s family home.” He walks up the driveway and knocks on the door. A brunette woman answers. Panther introduces himself, and she reveals that she is Kelly Kelly’s sister. She invites him in. He starts by asking her if she knows where her sister is, and if Gambit is with her. She says: “Remy? I don’t know. I spoke to Kelly last week, but she never mentioned him. They’re kinda private like that I think. As for her whereabouts, well she did say she was heading to LA some time soon, she might already have gone.” Panther: “LA? Right across the country? Well that’s just perfect… just when I think I’m getting close, something like this happens. She’s in poxy… wait… LA? Hmm, SummerSlam. Thank you Mary, you’ve been most helpful.” We cut to Panther outside the house, where he is talking to the camera once again. “Well that went well, and I only broke one chair and three priceless ornaments haha. So, it appears Kelly is either in LA, or about to head there, so I’m gonna get my arse over to SummerSlam. I guess I’ll see you, and maybe a certain couple of maniacs, at Staples Center.” We fade out on Panther holding a cardboard sign that says ‘Will kayfabe for ride to LA.’ We come back to the announcers table, where JR says “The search for Gambit continues.” Regal: “I for one hope he fails, and I really hope the nutcase isn’t going to be at SummerSlam!” JR: “I guess we’ll see this Sunday.”

We see Edge in his Skybox and Cody Rhodes bursts in telling the GM the exact same thing Alberto Del Rio told him at the opening of the program. Rhodes says that he’s been “on the bench” in the KWF and that he wants more TV time and Title opportunities. Edge says that he won’t give Rhodes a shot at any Title until he wins matches and does so consistently. However, Edge says that he’s giving Cody the same chance that he gave Del Rio: “Face CM Punk tonight, win, and you’re in the Submission match on Sunday.” Rhodes isn’t happy, saying that he doesn’t even have a submission move. Edge says: “Forget that, you have CM Punk to worry about first. And hey, if you win, you’ve got until Sunday to learn how to make someone tap out.” Rhodes leaves dissatisfied and the GM is left grinning at his night’s work.

Samoa Joe and Alex Shelley vs. Mason Ryan and Rob Terry

It’s time to see the KWF’s newest Tag Team, and the number one contenders for The Dudleys Belts. As Shelley and Ryan get the bout underway, JR reminds us that Samoa Joe has recently been teaming up with Daniel Bryan, to great fan acclaim. “They impressed heading into Sovereignty, and came very close to defeating The Dudleys at the pay-per-view, but came up just short. Alex Shelley then went to Edge and reminded him that the MotorCity Machine Guns were still due a Title shot, but with Chris Sabin on the long-term injured list, he couldn’t invoke it. He got the GM’s permission to find a replacement for a match with The Dudleys at SummerSlam. We later found out that he picked Joe, who accepted, enraging one Daniel Bryan. Despite Bryan’s protestations, it will be Joe and Shelley versus The Dudleys on Sunday for the KWF Tag Titles.” Things are not looking too good at the moment though as the slightly more experienced team of Ryan and Terry pick apart Shelley. They isolate him in the corner and use power moves such as shoulder barges, backbreaker’s and bodyslams to work him over. The Welsh Dragons have suffered in form since their leader Wade Barrett got injured, but they’re looking good here tonight as they make their statement for a future Tag Title shot. Terry lifts Shelley up in a delayed vertical suplex. He goes one handed to show off, but Shelley brings his knee down and hits him in the head. He does this several times and forces Terry to put him down. Shelley gathers himself, then comes off the ropes and hits a low dropkick to the knee. Regal: “You know Rob Terry was in control of this match, then he took a Machine Gun to the knee.” Shelley follows this up with a DDT, before leaping over and tagging in Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine comes in and cleans house. He running boots Mason Ryan off the apron, before hitting a huge Samoan Drop on Terry. He gets up and raises the shaka sign to the crowd, who cheer. JR: “Samoa Joe may have traded partners, but he isn’t missing a beat here.” Joe works both Terry and Ryan over, and starts making tags with Shelley. They work well together, with Shelley dictating most of it due to his extensive tag experience. They even work some double team moves as Joe holds Ryan steady for Shelley to kick him in the face. He covers and gets Two. He tags back to Joe, who comes in and hits Ryan with rights, before an elbow sends him down. He comes off the ropes and goes for a senton backsplash, but Ryan moves and Joe crashes to the matt. Ryan tags in Terry, who lays the boot into Joe, before slapping him about in a disrespectful manner. This makes Joe angry, and he fires back with rights. They trade blows, but it’s Joe who forces Terry back into the corner. He then backs up and speeds across, squashing Terry. He then lifts him onto the turnbuckle, before a heroic effort sees him slam Terry down with a Muscle Buster. He tags Shelley who climbs to the top rope and flies off to hit his splash from Skull and Bones! An original Machine Gun move! Joe races over and hits Ryan off the apron again and Shelley pins to get the Three-count.

Winners: The Samoan Submission Machine Guns.

Joe and Shelley get their hands raised and the crowd are delighted. JR: “What a showing from Joe and Shelley. We may finally have a team that can beat those damn Dudleys.” Regal says he highly doubts it, but says that he might be hoping that Joe and Shelley are triumphant on Sunday. “Then maybe Edge will call off his idiotic search to find Gambit and the rest of that motley crew.”

Backstage, AJ Styles is dressed in his ‘P1’ (Phenomenal one) KWF t-shirt and he’s mid-conversation with Zack Ryder. Ryder is excited to be talking to Styles and says: “Man SummerSlam is going to be siiiiick! AJ, you gotta tell me who you’ve picked as Jericho’s opponent tonight, c’mon bro, tell me please!?” AJ seems endeared by Ryder, but says: “Dude, you’ll find out when everyone else does.” Ryder leaves the scene, as Edge then enters. He and AJ shake hands. Edge: “So, obviously you can’t tell anyone else, but come on AJ, tell me who you’ve picked.” Styles whispers it into Edge’s ear. Edge has a smile, with a look of confusion, on his face. “Wow, that’s an… interesting pick. Does he know about it?” AJ says he just came from his locker room, and it’s all set for tonight’s main event. AJ: “After what Jericho pulled last week, I want him to be in for a surprise tonight, and if he should get a little beat up in the process, then more the better.” Edge nods and says “Well as long as it’s all set, then that’s fine by me. That promises to be one hell of a main event. You realize I’m gonna take credit for this with the KWF Board right?” AJ: “Oh, totally. It was your call for us to pick one another’s opponents, and after tonight, its plain sailing to SummerSlam, where I will reclaim my KWF World Heavyweight Championship.” Edge compliments him again on his choice, and says he’ll see him at SummerSlam. We fade out on a smiling AJ Styles.

Elsewhere in the backstage area, Queen Kaitlyn is with Hornswoggle and the KWF Women’s Champion, AJ Lee. They’re discussing AJ’s upcoming Title defense this Sunday against Madison Rayne. Kaitlyn: “You feel under any more pressure going up against the GM’s bi…aa…ssistant?” AJ: “No not at all. I’m focused 100%. I’ve held onto this Title for too long to let anything like that distract me. Madison is like any other KWF Chick, and trust me, we’re gonna be drinking celebratory Diet Mountain Dews off this Belt come Sunday night.” AJ looks down at Hornswoggle, and then asks Kaitlyn why he’s dressed up in a little Butler’s outfit. Kaitlyn: “Well, seeing as I’m now a ‘Queen’, I figured I should have a Butler. There were no trained Chimps available, so I just grabbed this little dude.” She bends down to talk to Hornswoggle. “You’re gonna be the best Butler the KWF has ever seen right?” Hornswoggle excitedly nods his head: “Ha-hah-hah!” Kaitlyn: “Good, well first of all…” She is interrupted as her King, Dolph Ziggler, enters the scene. Dolph: “Just what in the hell is that?” Kaitlyn: “That’s my new Butler, Say hello to Geoffrey Jeeves Hornswoggle.” The little man stands up straight and proper, making AJ and Kaitlyn laugh, but not Dolph. “What is this, some kind of joke?” Kaitlyn: “Well, actually, I…” Dolph: “I’ve had just about enough of you not taking this arrangement seriously. Forget about that little runt, and forget about Hornswoggle too.” AJ takes offense and tells Dolph that he may have technically ‘won’ Kaitlyn, but that he’ll never ‘have’ her as his Queen. Dolph seethes and grabs Kaitlyn by her wrist: “Did I give you permission to leave the kingdom? Must you associate yourself with this lowly peasant?! C’mon, we’re gone!” He drags Kaitlyn away from AJ and Kaitlyn in the process is having to reach behind her to hold Hornswoggle’s hand too. JR says that he’s sickened by Dolph’s actions. Before the scene ends, Madison Rayne approaches the Women’s Champion. “I heard what you said just now AJ, and let me tell you something. You’re right that it makes no difference that I’m Edge’s Assistant, but what you’re dead wrong about, is still holding that Title after SummerSlam. I went through three women to get to you, and next week on Turmoil, I’ll be the one showing up here with that Gold firmly around my pretty little waist.” AJ responds “Well, we’ll see about that on Sunday now won’t we?” The two stare one another down as we head to commercial.

When we return, Cody Rhodes is standing in the ring awaiting his opponent. ♫Look in my eyes, what can you see? A cult of personality!♫ «< click to play). The crowd go wild for the appearance of CM Punk. Punk looks confident and focused as he yells “It’s clobberin’ tiiiiimmmeeee!” and makes his way down to the ring. The comms remind us that Alberto Del Rio failed in his efforts to make SummerSlam after losing to Kurt Angle earlier in the program. Now Cody Rhodes has a chance at making a name for himself. Can he defeat CM Punk and book himself a match at SummerSlam?

Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk

The bell rings and the two lock it up. JR: “Cody Rhodes has his chance to work his way into the Submission match at SummerSlam here, and get a chance he feels he deserves to showcase his talents on the big stage.” Regal: “And a long overdue chance it is too. Personally I disagree with Edge, Cody deserves to be in that Submission match just as much as Kurt or Punk, who remember only recently had a horrific long-standing losing streak.” Punk aims a few kicks at Rhodes, but he ducks and dives and avoids them all, before slipping under the bottom rope and going to the outside. The fans boo as Cody walks around with a smile on his face, congratulating himself. Meanwhile, Punk has hit the ropes and comes diving through to land on Rhodes. The fans cheer as Punk roars out swings his arms to get the crowd in a frenzy. Punk leads Rhodes back into the ring and covers for Two. To Rhodes’ credit, he manages to gain control of the match after going back and forth with his opponent. After throwing him front first into the corner, he uses the ropes for leverage to drop a big boot to the back of Punk. He picks him up and lays an elbow to the back of the head, before slamming his head off the top turnbuckle. He runs up to try an attack, but Punk gets the boot up, before heading to the middle rope and leaping off to nail a bulldog. The fans cheer for Punk, as JR questions why Cody wants to be a part of the match on Sunday when he’s not even a submission specialist. “Apart from a chinlock here or there, I don’t remember seeing Cody use many submission maneuvers, and he won’t be beating Kurt Angle or CM Punk with a sleeper, that’s for sure.” Regal: “That’s not the point. The point is that he gets the spotlight that he deserves. Besides, Cody Rhodes is an excellent wrestler, and he may just have a surprise for you JR.” Rhodes is not looking to be in line for his shot as Punk hits him with the elbow from the top rope, and Cody does well to kick out at Two. He’s gasping for air as Punk goes to pick him up, but from nowhere, Cody grabs him and drags him down. JR: “He’s trying to administer a Crossface! Punk is panicking! Can Cody get it on?” Punk is scrambling as Rhodes can’t lock it on, then with a relatively simple looking shift, Punk now has the Anaconda Vise on Rhodes. Regal: “How the bloody hell did he do that?” Cody reaches for the ropes but is nowhere near, and after a momentary struggle, he has no choice but to tap out!

Winner: CM Punk.

Punk celebrates his win as JR confirms that this means we will get an uninterrupted Submission match at SummerSlam between CM Punk and Kurt Angle. “Personally I’m relieved. What a match it promises to be.” Regal: “Yes Jim and I wonder what it’ll do for his confidence now, going into that match on the back of a submission victory here tonight. Kurt Angle won earlier, but that was via an Angle Slam. Punk may have a psychological edge going into SummerSlam. Punk’s music stops as the spotlight heads up to Edge who’s on the mic in his Skybox. Edge says that he’d been thinking about Punk and Angle’s previous match at Sovereignty 4. “That match was a spectacle and it showed the desire from both of you that you wanted to compete at the very highest level. Tonight, Punk, you and Angle have blown me away. Wouldn’t you say so ladies and gentlemen? A round of applause if you would?” The crowd happily clap Punk with JR saying that he hopes Angle’s watching backstage because this applause is for him too. Edge goes on to say that Punk and Angle deserve something more than just personal pride at SummerSlam and therefore, seeing as both men have convincingly won their matches tonight, their Submission match on Sunday will be a number one contendership match for the KWF Heavyweight Championship of the World! The crowd cheer and Punk smiles from ear to ear. JR: “Incredible! As if that match couldn’t get any bigger. CM Punk versus Kurt Angle at SummerSlam, and whoever makes the other guy tap out will get a shot at the KWF World Title!” Regal: “Goodness gracious me, I didn’t see this coming Jim. What an announcement! KWF SummerSlam just got bigger and better folks!”

We see a close-up of two female faces. As we zoom out we see that it’s Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, The Beautiful People, doing their make-up. They’re sat at a mirror and they have a selection of make-up in front of them, but soon a volley-ball splats onto their table and their powders/foundations and creams go everywhere! The camera zooms out further and it’s revealed that this make-up unit is on a beach. We watch as Edge’s Personal Assistant Madison Rayne walks past The Beautiful People laughing. She’s wearing a bikini and as she walks along the beach she says that KWF’s SummerSlam will be an event never to be forgotten. On the beach in the background we watch as various X-Division superstars seem to be playing beach soccer. Madison looks out to the sea where AJ Styles is on a boogey-board. The beach scene becomes busier and busier and soon all the fun turns into a good old fashioned brawl – one which happens to lead to Madison’s bikini bra to be slipped off! Finally we see KWF General Manager Edge in a beach chair. He has sunglasses on and he’s watching his locker-room trash the beach. He sips from his drink and smiles at the camera: “Join us for SummerSlam folks. August 19th 2012 – only at KWF Blogs!” The scene fades out to Madison Rayne covering her private parts and Edge asking her for a re-fill.

After the SummerSlam commercial, JR and Regal tell that it was announced this past Sunday via @kwfblogs Twitter page that Jennifer Lopez will be performing Live this coming Sunday at SummerSlam. Regal: “The Rated R SuperStar is putting his spin on proceedings of this entertainment business Jim. KWF’s had many musical appearances at our WrestleMania events over the past few years, but JLo is going to be at SummerSlam. Kudos to our GM.” JR: “Aww, indeed Mister Regal. Jennifer Lopez is currently on tour with Enrique Iglesias and when the KWF asked her to be part of SummerSlam at Staples Center, she jumped at the chance. Ladies and gentlemen, we hope you enjoy Jennifer Lopez this Sunday at KWF SummerSlam!”

We’re following the General Manager Edge and he approaches the door to his Skybox, but before he steps in, Bubba Ray and Devon Dudley step onto the scene. Edge: “Can I help you?” The Dudleys don’t seem too happy. Bubba says: “Edge, we’re your KWF World Tag Team Champions and we got bones to pick with you on three counts. Number one: allowing Alex Shelley to pick an honorary Machine Gun. Number two: Shelley picking Samoa Joe – a guy who we’ve already beaten. And number three, tell’m Devon.” Devon: “Number three: tellin’ your cat friend to go find Gambit and the rest of Why So Serious.” Edge smirks: “Alex Shelley wasn’t wrong for coming to me. It’s not his fault Sabin’s injured and he wanted a chance at getting those Tag Titles. And it’s not my fault that he picked Samoa Joe. You two Champs will just have to deal with that.” Bubba and Devon say that they don’t have a problem with beating Joe again, but warn Edge that after SummerSlam there may not be any Machine Guns left in the wrestling world. Devon: “We can just as easily do to Shelley what we did to Beer Money.” Edge then asks Bubba and Devon what their beef is about Why So Serious: “I figured it wouldn’t be long before you two complained about that. What? Afraid of the challenge?” Bubba: “No we ain’t afraid of the challenge, we ain’t afraid of anybody! But this has got to stick in your head… we, Devon and me, we’re Your KWF World Tag Team Champions! Shelley and Joe ain’t gonna change it and if you bring in Why So Serious, they ain’t gonna change it neither because the fact of the matter is; we’re the greatest damn Tag Team of all time.” Devon: “What you gotta realize though Edge, is that Why So Serious won’t come here to do you a favor. They’ll come in and they’ll change things, not on us, not for these Titles, but they’ll change them so that Turmoil becomes a turmoil-lit show you know what I’m sayin’?” Bubba: “(to Devon) He doesn’t get it Devon, he’s a fricken’ idiot of a GM. (to Edge) Don’t say we didn’t warn you Edge. If Why So Serious come in, the whole picture will change and these Titles will be the last thing on your mind.” The Dudleys begin walking away. Edge shakes his head and steps into his Skybox as we go to commercials.

JR: “Ladies and gentlemen thank you for giving us your time in being with us through this episode of Wednesday Night Turmoil. Tonight we have learned that the Kurt Angle/CM Punk Submission match at SummerSlam will be to determine the next number one contender to the KWF World Heavyweight Championship. Mister Regal, the Angle/Punk rivalry has been intriguing and we expect another show-stealing match between them at SummerSlam.” Regal: “Oh absolutely Jim. The two of them have shown here tonight that they are amongst the most elite Professional Wrestler’s in this industry. Let me tell you though, whichever one of them wins will have a battle on his hands because my pick to win and retain the World Championship at SummerSlam is this man:” There’s an explosion on stage ♫Break The Walls Dooowwwnnnnn!♫ «< click to play) and the tron rises so that the KWF World Champion Chris Jericho can go stand atop the stage with his back to the audience in his Y2J pose. The fans boo the Champ’s arrival as he makes his way down the ramp for our upcoming Turmoil main event. He looks determined as he hands the referee his Title and demands that he’s handed a microphone. He shouts: “Austin, Texas! Welcome to Turmoil is Jer – actually you don’t deserve it. No, none of you deserve Turmoil is Jericho because I am the KWF Heavyweight Champion of the World. I am the best in the world at everything I do. Rob Van Dam knows it, AJ Styles knows it and Kurt Mangled and CM Dump better realize it as well. That monkey Edge has made me main event the show tonight and I’m not prepared to pander to him nor am I prepared to give any of you the glory of my presence. So whoever’s set to face me, whoever AJ Styles has chosen, send him out here right now so I can be done with him and move on to SummerSlam! Come on! Who is it? Who am I facing?!” Jericho stares up toward the stage but there’s nothing happening. He looks up toward Edge’s Skybox where we see Edge shrug his shoulders. Jericho yells “Come on! I’m the Champion! I demand to know who my opponent is!” ♫*Drums* Rob Van Dam *Drums* The Whole F’n Show!♫ «< click to play). The crowd here in Austin rise to their feet as one of Pro Wrestling’s all-time favorite superstars – and one of Y2J’s opponent’s this Sunday makes his way to the ring. RVD doesn’t look too pleased to be competing, but what a shocker this is. JR: “AJ Styles told Edge whom he had chosen, and by gosh, it’s Rob Van Dam!” Regal: “Ridiculous Jim. Surely there’s some kind of ruling against this. Van Dam faced Big Show, Styles faced Cena and now Jericho has to endure the challenge of RVD just a few days before SummerSlam?! This isn’t fair on Y2J.” JR says that it’s equally unfair on Van Dam, but that Jericho should take a page out of RVD’s book and get on with the match. “A great match, another blockbuster Turmoil main event. RVD versus Chris Jericho folks, and it’s up next!”

Chris Jericho vs. Rob Van Dam

We come back Live in time for the opening bell. The two lock up and the comms take us through some history. JR: “Chris Jericho and RVD have had many matches in the past, including Championship matches for the Intercontinental Title and the Hardcore Championship in WWE.” Regal: “Yes Jim, but it’s the KWF what matters here and as much as I disagree with this match being allowed, I certainly do hope we get to see an appetizer for SummerSlam. This should be great.” Jericho’s got control of Van Dam, back-chopping him in the corner. Jericho then chokes Van Dam with his forearm and the ref tells him off for using an illegal maneuver. The crowd cheer and chant RVD’s name as he comes back with a picture perfect thrust kick out the corner and Jericho looks knocked for a home run. Van Dam covers expecting that Jericho’s out. He gets One, gets Two – but no, the Champ kicks out. JR and Regal remind us that RVD never had a complete match as number one contender to the KWF Championship. Neither did AJ Styles lose his Title in that Triple Threat match where Van Dam was supposed to get his chance. JR: “Van Dam and Styles pushed one another over the limit at Sovereignty 4 and Jericho came into the match, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and all he had to do was climb a ladder. RVD and AJ Styles were down and out at the time. They didn’t even know Jericho was there.” Regal: “It can take a mastermind to win a World Championship Jim and some of our industry’s best ever wrestlers know when and how to pick their spots to ensure they get exactly what they want. You can’t deny Jericho that. He was patient after winning Money in the Bank at Mania and he waited. He waited ever so long and now he reaps the rewards because he became the Champ and that’s all that matters.” RVD’s in control as the match has spilt to ringside. He front suplex’s Jericho over the barricade and climbs the ring apron to perform his thumb-taunt and leap off with a spiral leg drop. The crowd are on their feet as RVD then rolls in and out of the ring to break the count. The battle goes on, but does so without taking the match into account. Jericho looks to exit up the ramp and Rob Van Dam goes after him. He tries to bring him back down toward the ring, but Jericho counters and the referee’s Count is on Ten!

Result: Draw. Double count-out.

The crowd boo the result, but enjoy the fact that Van Dam and Jericho are still fighting. Their battle goes back down the ramp and into the ring. Van Dam thinks he has control, but Jericho is up and he trips RVD. He grabs his legs and we anticipate the Walls of Jericho! JR: “Oh no not again, Jericho’s ending the show with yet another Walls!” ♫Get Ready to Fly!♫ «< click to play). The Phenomenal AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring and Jericho’s let go of RVD’s legs. The referee gets between them and continues telling them that this is over, but as AJ gets into the ring and Jericho backs off to one corner, we see RVD stand up. All three superstars eyeball one another as the comms finish by telling us that this rivalry may be far from being over. Styles/Van Dam/Jericho. Join us this Sunday folks for KWF SummerSlam!
