The show begins with a retelling of how last week’s program concluded. AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam were made to tag together ahead of their TLC KWF Title clash at Sovereignty 4 as they faced Big Show and King Dolph Ziggler. After a good start, Van Dam got carried away and brought out a ladder. AJ got distracted by this, allowing Ziggler to hit his finisher and pin the KWF Champion. RVD just looked at Styles, before setting up the ladder and climbing to the top. As the crowd anticipated a Five Star Frog Splash, Van Dam just sat at the top and stared down at the KWF Champion. As AJ got to his feet and saw RVD, they just stared at one another as the show faded out. We then blast into ♫the opening sequence♫ «< click to watch), and pan and zoom into the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Calgary fans go nuts as does Jim Ross, who introduces us as always. He informs us that we expect to see the monstrous rivals of Kane and The Absolute Lashley in action tonight, there will be a Fatal-4-Way bout between a selection of KWF’s Canadian Chicks, and the Big Show will be putting his Hardcore Title on the line against Mick Foley’s mystery opponent. JR introduces his co-commentator William Regal, who says he likes Canada because it reminds him of England. “Plenty of people who find loudmouth Americans insufferable, no offense Jim.” “No, but lots taken thanks. But what more appropriate way to start our evening in Canada than a welcome from our esteemed General Manager?” JR says as ♫the music of Edge♫ «< click to play) hits and the fans roar.

The Rated R General Manager looks very happy to be back in his home country, as he heads to the ring and gets on the mic. “There ain’t no crowd like a Canada crowd!” They cheer as he welcomes them to Turmoil, reminding us all that the KWF’s third anniversary pay-per-view, Sovereignty 4, is happening this Sunday. “It’s going to be one hell of a night with matches to suit such a momentous occasion. There’s going to be Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan versus The Dudleys for the KWF Tag Titles (the audience cheer), and King Dolph will face Panther with the lovely Kaitlyn on the line (more cheers), CM Punk will go up against Kurt Angle in a Three Falls match (cheer louder), AJ Lee defends her Women’s Title against Melina (cheer), in a hellacious WrestleMania rematch Kane goes one-on-one with The Absolute Lashley (cheer louder), and The Phenomenal AJ Styles defends his KWF World Championship against Rob Van Dam in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match!” The fans are lapping up everything Edge has to say, including mentioning the matches we have lined up for tonight, including the Canadian Chick Fatal-4-Way. “When I booked that match last week you may have noticed I was on the phone to someone. You see when I became KWF General Manager at WrestleMania, it was the first time I’d ever done anything like this. And I was offered a helping hand, a bit of mentoring if you will, by someone who had done it before, and given who that man was, I took it. Now I know two legends by the names of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sting had given me fair warning to run this show in a fair and proper manner, but the guy who I was talking to last week was neither Austin or The Icon. Ladies and gentlemen it gives me great pleasure to welcome this person to Turmoil tonight. He is here to say hello, once again, to all of you…” The crowd are already standing of course, but they all look toward the rising tron as we hear the sound of a child cheer ♫Bretttt!♫ «< click to play), the wailing of the guitar engulfs the arena and the fans go bananas for their favorite son. Bret Hart emerges to make his first appearance in the KWF since WrestleMania, the night Edge took the reigns of the company away from Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Hart pats the hands of the fans all the way round ringside before eventually getting in the squared circle and shaking Edge by the hand. The music comes to a halt and the fans are chanting for the Hitman. He and Edge have to wait for a while before the noise dies down and Hart can talk. “Did you miss me?” The fans cheer ‘Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!’ Bret goes on to confirm that he has been helping Edge out behind the scenes to make sure he could cope with everything that running a company entailed. “And let me tell you something about this guy, he gets it. He knows what it is to be a great General Manager. Look at what you’ve achieved. You’ve taken the Keystone Wrestling Federation to smaller towns where the public can really get up close and personal with our superstars. You’ve expanded us globally, taking us to South Africa for Turbulence. That was amazing to watch and Edge I have complete faith in you that you are going to lead the KWF into an even brighter future.”

The fans cheer as Edge begins to look embarrassed. However, before he can thank Bret for his kind words, the ♫music of King Dolph♫ «< click to play) hits. The fans boo as Ziggler slowly enters from under the rising tron. He’s wearing his robe and he has his scepter in hand. He looks far from impressed as he eventually gets in the ring, making sure his crown doesn’t fall off. Edge and Bret don’t seem too welcoming, but wait for what the King has to say as he is handed a mic. The crowd boo as King Dolph speaks: “Hold on here just a second. I thought this was Wednesday Night Turmoil, not Old Canadians Say the Boringest Things. I was listening to you two in the back and thought I better come out here and set some things straight. Bret, you were out of the KWF a long time ago, and just because you’ve been babysitting him, doesn’t give you the right to march in here and steal the spotlight away from real talent like me. And Edge, shame on you for pandering to the crowd like this by wheeling him out. Oh we’re in Calgary? Better dust off Bret and the rest of the Hart crew so that these idiots can lap it up like the dogs they are.” Ziggler gets roundly booed. He goes on to dress down an unimpressed Bret and Edge, saying that even though all three of them have won King of the Ring, only Dolph does the Title justice. Edge and Bret don’t respond, they just nod along, especially when they see that Panther is quietly making his way down the ramp. The crowd scream at Panther’s arrival, but the King’s too busy listening to his own voice to notice. Panther slides in the ring, and once Dolph realizes that something’s going on, he turns around and *BAM!* he gets nailed by a crowd pleasing PKO! The sceptre flies out of the ring and the King’s crown bounces along the canvas. The fans are then on their feet once more as, after some coaxing by Panther, Bret grabs King Dolph by his feet, before applying the Sharpshooter! Dolph screams out in pain as Edge and Panther watch on smiling. Edge tells the people that Bret will be keeping the hold on for five seconds, “So for the benefit of those with flash photography, ah you know the rest.” He and Panther then proceed to get their phones out and take pictures. Dolph starts tapping out frantically, but Bret doesn’t let go until Edge has finished telling Ziggler that he is in the main event tonight, against the KWF World Champion, AJ Styles!!! ♫Bret’s music♫ «< click to play) hits again and he, Edge and Panther all raise their arms as Dolph rolls around in pain on the canvas. JR: “Wow, what a start to tonight. We got Edge, Bret, a PKO, a Sharpshooter, and a main event to rival any pay-per-view, AJ Styles versus King Dolph!” Regal: “This is absolutely outrageous! What a way to treat a King! I tell you, Bret was dead wrong when he said Edge is doing a great job, he’s disastrously biased!” JR tells William to pipe down: “Which is probably what King Dolph should have done in the first place.”

It’s time to recap what went down on last week’s episode of Turmoil. CM Punk came to the ring to lay a stipulation down for his and Kurt Angle’s already confirmed match for Sovereignty 4. The Miz wanted some air time and so was given a Great White opponent. Mick Foley stated that he would have a challenger for Big Show’s Hardcore Title (which he does, and the match is coming later tonight on Turmoil). Samoa Joe took on Devon Dudley, Panther challenged King Dolph to a match at Sovereignty with a certain someone on the line. Mickie James and Melina continued their rivalry in a number one contender’s match for the Women’s Title, Jay Lethal faced Sonjay Dutt while X-Division Champ Austin Aries was on commentary, Christian defended his recent actions as Intercontinental Champion, and a huge tag main event saw Big Show team up with King Dolph to take on Rob Van Dam and his Sovereignty opponent, AJ Styles! ♫It’s a shame that they lost their heads, a careless man could wind up dead!♫ The Great White Sheamus makes his way to the ring as we get ready for our first match of the evening. He looks confident following his convincing win over The Miz last week, and awaits his opponent. The lights go out… *BONG!*

Sheamus vs. The Absolute Lashley w/Paul Bearer

Lashley makes his usual eerie entrance with Paul Bearer in tow. As with the start of all of his fights, he just stares at Sheamus, who doesn’t look quite as confident as he did. Nonetheless, he races at Lashley as the bell rings and starts pummeling him with rights. He backs Lashley up in the corner and hits knees into his gut, before lifting him up and going for a running powerslam. However, as he runs, Lashley slides down his back, and when Sheamus turns around, Lashley floors him with an uppercut. Lashley takes a moment to stare down at his fallen opponent, before upping the tempo and progressing to beat Sheamus down. The Absolute One is brutal in his work as JR reminds us of his showdown coming this Sunday: “Lashley will face Kane for a second time after defeating him at WrestleMania. After their match, Lashley’s Dark Side made Kane disappear to become nothing more than an urn. Lashley went on dominating and became KWF World Champion. However, during a Hell in a Cell match with AJ Styles, Kane returned, ripped the Cell open and took Lashley out with a Tombstone all the way to Hell. It cost Lashley his Title, and now with both monsters at loggerheads, they face off again at Sovereignty 4 in what is sure to be one hellacious battle.” Lashley has continued to dominate Sheamus, and even manages to lift him up in a gorilla press. “Such strength!” Regal analyzes. He fires Sheamus into the corner and slams into him, before coming off the ropes and nailing a flying clothesline akin to that of his creator, The UnderTaker. He covers but gets only Two. He lifts Sheamus up and sends him against the ropes, only for the Irishman to come back and *BAM!* instinctively nail a Brogue Kick! Both men are down, and Sheamus desperately tries to crawl over. Has too much time passed? Yes, because Lashley sits up and stares at Sheamus before he can even put an arm across. The crowd are in shock as JR says: “Good God almighty, what on earth?! How can anybody sit up after Brogue Kick like that?” The Celtic Warrior isn’t going down without a fight, and he gets up, fearlessly continuing to clobber Lashley, including hitting an Irish Curse backbreaker and his trademark forearms across the chest. He throws Lashley back into the ring, before slamming his own chest and chanting “Brogue!” He goes for another Brogue Kick, but gets lifted up and slammed down in a Sitdown Spinebuster! Lashley covers and Sheamus is out for the Three-count.

Winner: The Absolute Lashley.

Paul Bearer continuously says “Yes, yes, yes” in a creepier version than that of Daniel Bryan. JR: “The Absolute Lashley looks unstoppable going into Sovereignty William. Now I know what to expect from the demonic Kane, but if anything, Lashley looks more powerful than he did at Mania.” Regal: “Ah it’s the good old fashioned irresistible force against the immovable object. What a clash it promises to be.”

We head backstage where Jeremy Borash is ready for an interview. He introduces his guest at this time “… the lovely Kaitlyn.” She walks on screen and doesn’t look too cheerful. JB asks for her reaction to being ‘at stake’ at Sovereignty 4 in the match between Panther and King Dolph. “Oh it feels really good JB. To know that I mean so much to these guys that they’re willing to put me up for grabs like a prize at a fair, actually no, you know what, I’m more like a Money in the Bank briefcase, except I don’t guarantee a World Title shot and I’m not going to be hanging above the ring for someone to claim, at least I hope not.” JB goes on to ask her whether she has spoken to Panther since last week. “Yeah, we’re a couple JB, of course we talk, but he’s been a little distant. All he’s thinking about is this match. In all honesty I think he’s regretting agreeing to the stipulation, but the contract’s signed. But this is yet just another example of his pig-headedness. I know he thinks he’s a cat, but typically he still has all the traits of a guy that make you want to put his head in a microwave. Though I have to admit, what he, Bret and Edge did to Dolph earlier was pretty damn funny.” JB finishes by asking her who she ‘wants’ to win on Sunday. “Well obviously I’ll be in Panther’s corner, but if he’s willing to put me in a situation like this… maybe after Sunday I’ll be the one making some decisions.” She walks off as JB hands it back to ringside.

We hear ♫the music of Austin Aries♫ «< click to play) and the X-Division Champion comes down to the ring with a suit on, black shades and his X-Title over his shoulder. He gets on mic, but can’t speak right away because he is being heavily booed by this Calgary crowd. He tells them all to have a bit more respect because they’re all in the presence of the greatest superstar in the KWF today. Aries says: “I am the very top trending superstar in this business and it’s because of what I do in this ring. I don’t care about anybody, least of all any of you so-called fans out there.” Aries is booed further, but then we hear ♫Ooohhhh Yeeaahhhh♫ «< click to play) and the audience cheer and applaud as ‘Black Machismo’ Jay Lethal steps out from under the rising tron and poses Macho Man style at the top of the stage. Aries looks peeved as Lethal taunts Macho-like under the raining shower of golden pyro’s and William Regal says: “Oh come on, he’s milking this a bit isn’t he?” JR: “But the crowd appreciate it. Most people would rather watch a Jay Lethal entrance than listen to Austin Aries arrogance on the mic.” Eventually Lethal comes down to the ring and he’s handed a mic. He is in prime form as he speaks in his Macho-tone and says: “What’s up Calgrayyy?” Lethal waves toward the fans, but Aries doesn’t give him a second: “What’s up? That’s what you’re here to say, what’s up?!” Lethal points his finger at Aries and sternly tells him to: “Shut up!” The crowd cheer as Lethal continues in his Macho-tone: “Aries you been here in the KWF for less than a year, but Black Machismo’s been here since the very beginning yeah. I was here when ICW and the CWA were feuding, I was watched by Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan and ‘Classy’ Freddie Blassie yeah. I faced Junkyard Dog, Bruno Sammartino, George ‘The Animal’ Steele and Liz was by my side the whole time. You see Aries I was there with Hulk Hogan during the time of the Mega Powers, I’ve tagged with the Ultimate Warrior too and I’ve rivaled the Nature Boy, Woooo! Ric Flair!” Aries is taken aback by how Lethal’s going on as if he actually was the late great Macho Man Randy Savage. Lethal says that he’s been there and done it all: “because Aries the KWF is not just this company and the three years it’s been going. This place is all of Pro Wrestling. All of Pro Wrestling past, present and future and while I was there getting jabbed in the gut by the bat of Sting, you Aries didn’t know a wrist-lock from a wrist-watch. So come Sunday, at KWF’s anniversary brother I’m gonna kick you up sideways and teach you a lesson.” Aries smirks now: “You can’t do that, you can’t do anything to me. You’re a fraud. You think I’m even worried about your challenge? In case you don’t remember Black Machismo, I’ve pinned you twice over the past few weeks. I’m the greatest man that ever lived, I don’t need to take this sh*t from you.” Lethal gets a tad serious: “Greatest man that ever lived? You couldn’t lace the boots of some of the men I been in this ring with! In fact, come on Aries, since you’re so confident, how ‘bout we bring Sovereignty to Calgary early and have our match right now?!” Lethal begins to remove his jacket and the crowd are cheering him on. Aries gets into it and removes his blazer. The comms get excited as it looks like they’re going to lock horns, but no, Aries drops to the canvas and rolls out of the ring. He backs off up the ramp saying that he’s not going to give these people a pay-per-view match for free. The crowd boo as Regal says Aries is very smart. JR says that he was fine with trying to blindside Lethal with an attempted attack last week, but now when it’s face to face, Aries backs off. Aries demand his music hit, but Lethal gets the final word in: “You’re gonna be taught a lesson Aries. I’m gonna beat you and become X-Division Champion oooohhhh yeaahhhhhh!” The crowd are ecstatic as the comms agree that they can’t wait for the Aries/Lethal showdown at Sovereignty 4.

Back after commercials we see that Gail Kim and Maryse have already made their entrances. The crowd then cheer at the top of their lungs as ♫Natalya’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and Calgary’s own makes her way to the ring. The crowd cheer and chant Nattie’s name as she waves to the audience. Maryse looks as if she doesn’t have a care in the world and Gail Kim applauds Natalya’s entrance along with the fans. The crowd then boo as we hear ♫The Beautiful People’s music♫ «< click to play) and Velvet Sky and Angelina Love make their suggestive entrance. Regal: “Goodness, I’m looking forward to this.” JR: “Canadian Chick Fatal-4-Way action folks, this one should be a slobberknocker.”

Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim vs. Maryse vs. Natalya

The bell rings and JR immediately says that Velvet Sky has no reason to be at ringside. Regal: “Oh come on Jim, you can’t have The Beautiful People with one of them being stuck in the locker room. They come as a package and a very fine one at that.” Maryse corners Natalya and lifts her leg to choke Nattie by her boot. The crowd boo, but then cheer as Gail Kim comes to snapmare Maryse out the corner. Angelina Love is being very coy about getting too involved in the match and we watch as Gail and Natalya then dump Maryse out of the ring. They clap hands and then lock it up. JR: “A show of mutual respect there, we don’t see that often between our KWF Chicks.” Regal: “Of course not JR. All women secretly hate each other, Jerry Lawler’s told you that many times I’m sure.” Gail and Natalya go back and forth, but in doing so they wear one another down. Maryse comes back in the ring to get in on the action and she’s vicious as she yanks Gail Kim by the hair and grounds her for a cover. She gets One, Two – but Angelina Love then reaches in to pull Maryse by the leg and force the break. Maryse yells at Love and Natalya then storms out of the ring, along the ring apron and she flings herself at Love for a cross body. JR: “Good God almighty, what a move that was!” Velvet Sky turns Nattie around and gets in her face, but then surprisingly we see Maryse reach through the ropes and tug Velvet by her hair. This causes a major distraction for the referee. Meanwhile, Gail Kim goes to the top turnbuckle and measures as Nattie is picking up Love. Gail flies off, but Love sees her and she pulls Natalya in the way and Nattie takes the full force of Air Gail. The referee pulls Maryse back and tells her off. Meanwhile we see Velvet and Angelina do a number on Gail and Natalya, smashing Nattie shoulder-first into the steel stairs. This is very unpopular with the fans and they boo like hell. Angelina then gets back into the ring for a showdown with Maryse. The two battle back and forth with Maryse doing well, but Love is tenacious and she avoids a French Kiss DDT to go against the ropes and come back to nail the French-Canadian with a Botox Injection. Gail tries getting back in the ring, but Velvet is holding her leg whilst laying down by the apron. Gail can’t fight her off in time and Angelina Love gets the Three.

Winner: Angelina Love.

♫The Beautiful People’s music hits♫ «< click to play) and the audience boo at the sight of Love’s hand being raised. Velvet Sky blows sarcastic kisses toward Natalya Neidhart who’s still holding her shoulder as she exits from ringside. We see a shot of Madison Rayne in Edge’s Skybox, and she’s not impressed. JR: “Madison Rayne and The Beautiful People have a lot of history. Rayne wasn’t happy that Edge gave Angelina Love a spot in this match tonight.” Regal: “Yes yes, but Madison was offered the chance to re-join The BP. She said no because she’d rather be acquainted with the General Manager. Of course we know that Angelina and Velvet wanted Madison as a pawn to get them in good with the GM, and have the spotlight on them too. But I think The BP being involved in this match has put them in the spotlight anyway. Madison must be jealous.” JR: “We were all skeptical about Madison’s intentions when she wanted to be associated with Edge. She won the chance at being Edge’s ‘Assistant’ after defeating Layla at the King of the Ring pay-per-view. She hasn’t asked anything of Edge, but seeing The Beautiful People get TV time over her has certainly hit a nerve.”

We come to a video package of Kurt Angle. It shows him in training for his upcoming Three Falls match with CM Punk at Sovereignty 4. He is being interviewed over the top of it as we see him sparring with some wrestling partners. We can see how he gets them into submission maneuvers in no time at all, as he states over the top that he resents Punk for claiming to be the Best in the World. “The Best in the World doesn’t lose, never mind losing every match he’s been in since WrestleMania. I am Kurt Angle, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and I am the Best in the World. Not only am I going to prove that to CM Punk on Sunday, but I am going to humiliate him in the process, and expose him as a fraud. That’s why I called for a Three Falls match. I don’t want it two out of three, because there is still room for doubt in that, you could get two lucky falls, but not three, and certainly not three without reply. When I beat CM Punk three zero at Sovereignty, then the whole world will know just who the man really is, who the Best in the World really is! Oh it’s real… it’s damn real!” The video ends with Angle hitting several poor young wrestlers with Angle Slams and German Suplexes, before we fade out on one image of a guy furiously tapping out in the Ankle Lock. JR and Regal react when we return to the arena. JR: “Kurt Angle has always been an intense and focused individual, and it looks like he’s leaving nothing to chance ahead of Sunday, but what arrogance on his part saying that he wants to beat CM Punk by three falls to zero. Not only does he want to win, but he wants to humiliate Punk in the process.” Regal: “And if he can then why not? If Punk loses three zero he deserves all the criticism he gets. CM Punk hasn’t won a single match since before WrestleMania, that was over three and a half months ago. I don’t know how he expects to get any falls against Kurt Angle, who I agree is one of the Best in the World right now. Once Angle’s done with Punk, he’s sure to be in line for a World Championship match I’m sure.” We fade into a commercial for the KWF Twitter page, @kwfblogs, where you can discuss all things KWF with the writers themselves.

We’re back Live and the Big Show makes his entrance. The comms remind us that last week the KWF’s Hardcore Ambassador Mick Foley said that he and Edge were searching through various superstars to see who’d be the next to challenge for the Hardcore Championship. JR: “That Hardcore match is up next, but who’s the Big Show’s mystery opponent?!” Show waits in the ring as he hands his Belt to the referee and we hear ♫C’mon! Ya-ya know… SOS!♫ «< click to play). The tron rises and we watch as the bouncing Kofi Kingston makes his Turmoil entrance. The crowd are on their feet as the comms concur that nobody would have expected to see Kofi challenge for the Hardcore Championship – let alone challenge the World’s Largest Athlete. Regal says that Kofi is out of his mind to take this opportunity. JR says: “I’m sure Kingston knows what he’s gotten himself into. I’m certainly intrigued about how he’s going to cope here. This should be exciting, another heart-pulsing match right here on Wednesday Night Turmoil.”

Big Show vs. Kofi Kingston – Hardcore match for the Hardcore Title

The bell rings as Show is champing at the bit to get his hands on Kingston as Regal suggests that the big man is not working by the hour. This proves a challenge for Show though, because he must get hold of Kofi first before he can do any damage. The Ghanaian avoids Big Show’s heavy swings and he manages to evade any early attacks. Kingston even springboard-backflips off the middle rope so that Big Show is forced to tire due to exerting his energy in chasing Kofi. The crowd cheer Kingston on as he goes to ringside to grab a steel chair. He slides it in the ring, thinking that Big Show is unawares, but as he gets in we watch as Show has his foot on the chair. Kofi leans to pick it up, but Show lifts his leg to plant it on the back of Kofi’s neck and consequently smash Kingston face-first into the steel chair. The crowd ‘Ohhh’ at the impact of the move and we then watch as Big Show mouths off at his fallen body. He kick-rolls Kofi to the side of the chair and then picks the chair up. In one motion he puts the chair under his thigh and drops another leg over Kingston and this time Kofi is writhing in pain as the weight of Big Show lands hard over the chair and over the torso of Kingston. The comms concur that Kofi Kingston was ambitious with his game plan, but that now Big Show’s in control, there may be no way back for Kingston.

Big Show brings Kendo sticks into the ring and swats Kofi over his back. He jabs a steel chair right into his gut before slamming hard over his back. Big Show then grunts “He’s finished!” he covers Kofi and this seems to be over; One, Two – but Kingston kicks out! Kingston kicks out and the crowd begin to clap, cheering him on to get back to his feet. Big Show threatens the referee saying that he counted slow. He then waits for Kofi to get to his feet. Kingston takes the momentum from the fans and picks up a Kendo stick to turn and *WHAM* he levels a shot from the stick right on the forehead of Big Show. He then has a burst of energy, swatting Show on his tree-trunk-like legs. He hits his stomach, his thighs, his arms and then again he hits Show on the head, jumping to hit him almost like an alley-oop. Show goes down to one knee and the Kofi seems to be getting the match to go in his favor. He runs against the ropes and comes back with Trouble in Paradise – but “No! Oh my God!” yells JR as Big Show open-palm slaps Kofi right out of the air. The arena is stunned as Show gets back to his feet and he wipes his brow, seeing blood on his hands. Regal: “Bugger, that was a bad idea from Kofi. Show’s seeing his own blood and he’s a very angry giant now.” Kofi Kingston writhes in pain as Big Show grabs a Kendo stick and smashes it over his back. He grabs a steel chair, waits for Kofi to get up and then *WHAM*, an echoing shot from the steel chair goes right over Kofi’s head. The crowd boo as Show is then relentless. He grabs a Kendo stick and uses it as a pulling device whilst administering the Colossal Clutch. JR: “My God, we’ve seen Show perform this move on House Shows (WWE or TNA television), but he’s never done it on KWF Blogs.” Regal: “A brilliant move Jim. A version of the Camel Clutch, but it even worse. It hurts when a 400-plus-pounder sits on your back. It hurts when he tries folding you in a direction that your back isn’t supposed to bend and it hurts when he’s choking you with a Kendo stick, all at the very same time. Big Show is unstoppable, there’s no chance on earth that Kofi can get out of this.” Regal is right as the referee checks on Kingston over and over and he quickly becomes unresponsive. He has no option but to call for the bell.

♫Big Show’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and he grabs Kingston’s face toward him to trash-talk him one more time before finally releasing the Colossal Clutch. The referee hands Show his Title and Show snatches it off him. The crowd are silent as the ref calls down medics to make sure Kingston’s okay. JR says that Kofi gave it all he had, but predicts that it may be a very long time before anybody defeats the Big Show again. Regal agrees: “Big Show may go on to become the most dominant Hardcore Champion of all time. No one can stop this man.”

Backstage we’re with Jeremy Borash and he’s standing by with his guest at this time, number one contender to the KWF World Heavyweight Title; Rob Van Dam. Borash asks Van Dam about the conclusion to last week’s show: “What were you thinking? You were atop that ladder and AJ Styles was down and out. You could have nailed him with a Five Star Frog Splash.” RVD’s about to answer, but the World Champ himself comes onto the scene. “But he didn’t JB. He didn’t because he knew that us losing that match was all his fault.” Van Dam turns to Styles as AJ continues telling him off for bringing the ladder in to play last week. Styles: “We were there to win a match, there was no need for a ladder and it distracted me so much that I was then hit by a Zig Zag and pinned by Dolph Ziggler.” Van Dam nonchalantly smiles: “Hey, you said it dude. You were the one that got pinned. So aren’t you to blame?” AJ says that he can answer JB’s question and he says that Van Dam thought about Five Starring him, but it was a thought and that’s all. Styles says: “I saw you up there and you hesitated. You hesitated and that’s all I need RVD, it’s all I need to get up, get up that ladder, knock you off and retain my Title.” Van Dam: “I’m sorry? What? You’re the Champ so you talk for everyone now? I didn’t Five Star you because I respect you Champ. I respect what you’ve done and how hard you work. You didn’t deserve a Five Star last week, but you know what, on second thought maybe you did deserve it because you were the one that lost the match. You talk about distractions and what-not, but you need to realize that I did earn this World Title shot and when it comes to distractions, Sunday’s gonna be full of them because the Whole F’n Show will be hitting you with ladders, smashing you with chairs and putting you through tables.” AJ argues back and says that he reciprocates RVD’s respect, but come Sovereignty 4 he’s going to do whatever it takes to retain his Title. “I’ll throw anything and everything at you RVD. I’ve come to Canada as World Champ and that’s exactly how I plan on leaving.” RVD finishes: “Whatever dude. I’ll see you Sunday.” He pats AJ’s Title Belt and walks off down the hall.

Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Daniel Bryan

Bubba Ray demeans Bryan as the bell rings, calling him a “pipsqueak” and telling him to just “go home now before you get hurt.” Bryan proceeds to kick him repeatedly until he escapes to the outside. A shocked Bubba looks back at Bryan, who is raising his arms to the sky and leading the crowd in a chorus of ‘Yes’s’ toward the audience. As the match settles down, with Bubba getting some control thanks to his size advantage, JR reminds us that Edge decided to go against his instincts of throwing singles competitors together in tag teams, and put Samoa Joe with Daniel Bryan to take on The Dudleys for the KWF Tag Titles. Bubba and Devon have held the Belts for several months, and can never wait to rub it in the GM’s face. “Edge is getting desperate and is running out of tag teams to put the Dudleys up against. Joe and Bryan impressed in a one off tag match, and as former singles Champions, they seemed like an ideal partnership.” Regal calls it into question as he is aware that there was some heat between the two back when they were on the independent scene, but JR dismisses that as it happened such a long time ago and they’ve been travelling the road together in the KWF for the past three years. “But can they beat those damn Dudleys? Given that Joe defeated Devon last week, you’ve got to think there’s a good chance.” Regal: “But The Dudleys have been a team for years, and the intricacies of tag team wrestling are not something Joe and Bryan can just pick up overnight.” The match has gone back and forth, with Bubba mostly wearing Bryan down with power moves, and has him now in a chin-lock that is close to being an illegal chokehold. He tells Bryan to quit, but he won’t. Bryan manages to slip out from under Bubba, who looks between his legs, and then turns around. Bryan grabs him and pulls him down into a LeBell Lock! He has it on tight, and Bubba is nowhere near the ropes. He fights momentarily, but is left with no choice but to tap out.

Winner by way of Submission: Daniel Bryan.

Before Bryan has a chance to celebrate, Devon comes down to the ring. The Dudleys then beat on Bryan, double teaming him, until the ♫music of Samoa Joe♫ «< click to play) hits and he races down to make the save. The Dudleys want none of an angry Joe, but have made their point. Joe isn’t finished, and chases them. He batters into them on the ramp, and gets some shots in, but again the numbers game catches up with him. The Dudleys start to beat him down, but then we see Daniel Bryan race in and join the melee. There’s punches being thrown everywhere, and it takes a number of referees and security to break them up. JR states that maybe finally a team will be able to defeat The Dudleys this Sunday. “They have the hunger, the desire, and they’ve got one another’s backs; Joe and Bryan are looking to be great challengers for Tag Gold and we may just have new KWF World Tag Team Champions come Sovereignty 4.”

Backstage we watch as number one contender to the Women’s Championship, Melina, approaches current Women’s Champion AJ Lee. AJ: “Did you want something?” Melina: “I’m just looking, looking at you. A year in the KWF and you’re Champion. Standards have certainly lowered around here since I’ve been gone.” AJ: “What happened to you? You used to be nice.” Melina: “In the Wolfpac yeah. But without them I’m on my own and on my own; I’m your worst nightmare.” AJ tries to speak but then Mel backs her toward the wall. AJ: “You wanna get outta my face?” Melina: “So it’s true what they say, you are a little firecracker. Don’t worry honey, I’ll put that fire out on Sunday. That Women’s Championship is coming home with me.” AJ shoulder-barges Melina to the side and tells her that she’s not afraid of Melina. She finishes: “I’ll do what I’ve always done in the KWF; wrestle my game and win matches. This Title stays with me come the end of Sovereignty 4.” AJ walks backward, exiting the scene down the hall. Melina has a stern look on her face as the comms voice over that they can’t wait to see these two KWF Chicks lock horns at Sovereignty 4.

Matt Morgan vs. Kane

The crowd are standing as they witness two near-seven-footers go face to face in the ring. Morgan mouths off, but Kane just stands there. Morgan keeps talking and Kane takes him off his feet with a deadly uppercut. JR: “Oh my, who on earth has ever done that to Matt Morgan before?” Regal: “No one that I can recall Jim, but we must remember that Morgan and Kane once had a fierce rivalry for the Intercontinental Title here on KWF Blogs way back in 2010. A young Brit by the name of Outlaw was a part of that scrap for the IC Gold and ultimately it was Outlaw who won the Gold.” JR: “Of course, Outlaw’s not with the KWF any longer, but Kane has since gone on to monstrous rivalries with members of a group called Why So Serious and of course we all remember how he defeated Sting and Shawn Michaels on the same night, last year at KWF’s ReBirth pay-per-view.” Regal: “Alright Jim, enough of the history lessons. We had enough of ‘memory Kane’ on last week’s edition of Turmoil.” The contest at hand goes on and we watch as Matt Morgan gives it all he’s got to get the better of the Big Red Machine. Morgan takes the battle to ringside, but Kane often sits up after every fall and JR says that it’s ironic that The UnderTaker named Bobby Lashley ‘Absolute’ because Kane, in the KWF, is the very absolute monster that he once was upon his WWF debut. He says that he believes that Kane has been reborn at the falling of Paul Bearer’s urn and it’s because of his reincarnation if you will that Kane will pose a bigger threat than ever to The Absolute Lashley at Sovereignty 4 this Sunday. In the contest at hand, Kane comes back to pull off his trademark sidewalk slam. He performs his flying clothesline from off the top rope and often tilts his head or adjusts his glove to make sure he can fully grasp his opponent. The comms discuss the fans’ perspective of Lashley versus Kane Part II and conclude that The Absolute Lashley is seen as the Prince of Darkness now. Regal: “When UnderTaker abducted him people felt sorry for him and rightly so, but Lashley was picked for the very reason that he is perfect for the role. Lashley grew into the Dark Side and ultimately I think The Deadman has done a magnificent job and securing an heir to his throne.” JR: “I hear what you’re saying William and you’re right. We’ve watched Lashley in rivalries with former friends of his as of when he was Bobby Lashley. But the Absolute One, there’s no talking to him. Just carnage and destruction, the sun to burn out and Darkness to prevail. That’s what Lashley’s about now. And it’s for that reason that I think the fans are on Kane’s side going into Sovereignty 4. I can’t comprehend how the match will go, but it could easily steal the show, that’s for sure.” We watch as Kane finishes Morgan off with a Tombstone and performs the Darkness pin to earn a victory.

Winner: Kane.

♫Kane’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and he performs his enflaming of the ring-posts as JR says: “That was a true test and Kane passed with flying colours.” Regal: “Yes and that’s what’s so scary going into Sunday. A few weeks back it seemed as if there were going to be mind game after mind game between Kane and Lashley. But it all stopped and finally I think I know why. This is the calm before the storm. Almost like two continents knowing that a war is coming. For Lashley and Kane it’s at Sovereignty 4. Gosh JR, I’ve got goosebumps.” The camera slowly zooms in and closes on Kane’s mask as we fade out to commercials.

We are backstage once more with JB, who is set to interview none other than CM Punk. He starts by asking Punk what his thoughts are ahead of Sunday’s Three Falls match with Kurt Angle. “Well JB, my thoughts are that it’s going to be possibly the toughest match of my career, and I’ve fought The UnderTaker at WrestleMania. This is three falls with Kurt Angle. He might be bald and annoying, but damn is he good at wrestling. Having said that, I am CM Punk. Sure I’ve been on a losing streak, and yes I admit that I am a severe underdog heading into this, but I know that I can beat Kurt. I’m not going to be an arrogant douche like him and state that I’ll win three nothing, but I know I can beat him. You ever heard of the ‘Yips’ theory JB?” JB shakes his head. “Maybe you’re familiar with the more technical term, focal dystonia. It is basically a condition where someone loses their ability to do what they do best, with no explanation. It happens to golfers, basketball players, even in baseball, you ever heard of a guy named Steve Blass? Some people still refer to it as Steve Blass disease. You just lose the ability to do what you do best, and that’s what people are saying has happened to me. But this Sunday, I’ll show the World that I can still do what I do best, and at the risk of being sued by Tina Turner, better than all the rest.” Punk exits with a smile as JB finishes: “Ladies and gentlemen that was CM Punk, looking ever so confident heading into Sunday’s Sovereignty 4.”

There is an image of a bird flying through the air. It soars high above a landscape, where we see images over the top of KWF Superstars battling it out. It glides over the sea, which also has wrestling images across the water. The bird eventually lands, on top of an arena. It starts to flap its wings and the image freezes while the bird is at its biggest wingspan. The background fades to black and the bird becomes a ‘T’ as the word ‘Sovereignty’ appears around it. At the end of the word, the number 4 fades in, and This Sunday appears at the bottom.

We come back into the arena where JR and Regal run down the card for Sunday’s Sovereignty as Edge did at the start of the night. They exclaim their excitement for each match, especially the main event TLC match for the KWF Title. “A once in a lifetime contest, but now it’s time for tonight’s main event.” The ♫music of King Dolph♫ «< click to play) hits and for the second time tonight, the King emerges and heads to the ring. He does not look happy at all after what happened to him at the beginning of the evening, as we go split screen and JR delights in showing us again how Ziggler mouthed off to Bret Hart and Edge, before getting blindsided by a PKO from Panther, and then put in the Sharpshooter by Bret. Regal again condemns the actions of Edge, allowing that to occur and then putting Dolph in the main event against the KWF Champion. With that, AJ Styles makes his entrance and the crowd go wild.

King Dolph vs. AJ Styles

The bell rings and this match gets underway. Two of the most highly respected performers in the business today square off, and it’s difficult to separate them early on. They reverse one another and cancel one another out, that is until Styles hits a picture perfect dropkick to knock Dolph to the outside. Ziggler tries to gather himself, but doesn’t get long as he is soon landed on by the KWF Champion in a perfectly executed plancha. The fans cheer for AJ as he gets up and rolls back into the ring as we head for our final commercial break of the evening.

When we return, Dolph has gotten back into the match. As he grounds Styles with a side headlock, we see on split screen that he pulled AJ’s neck against the top rope as he was getting back into the ring, allowing him to take control of the contest. Styles tries to get free from the headlock, but as he gets to his feet, Dolph adjusts the move into a sleeper hold. He has it on tight and Styles struggles, before falling to one knee. Dolph can smell a big win, as can Regal. “Come on Dolph! Make him pass out! That young man pinned AJ Styles last week, and if he can beat him here tonight then surely he will be in line for a Title match.” JR: “Remember William, this is a man who recently said there was no better Title than being King.” Regal: “Well of course there isn’t, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a lovely trophy wrapped around you, but enough about Kaitlyn, wahey!” JR: “Will you stop it?” AJ is fading fast, and the referee lifts his arm once, it drops, twice, it drops, a third time, but no, it stays up. AJ elbows Dolph, and eventually breaks free, before *BAM!* Pele! Both men are down as the crowd cheer the Pele. AJ slowly manages to get over and cover, but Dolph kicks out at Two. The match goes on with Dolph in the ascendancy, working over a weary Styles. He hits a big dropkick of his own and covers for Two. He then attempts a Zig Zag, which is the move he beat Styles with last week, but AJ hangs onto the ropes and Ziggler falls back himself. As he gets up, Styles flies off the top rope to hit a flying forearm smash. He covers and gets Two. They trade rights, before Dolph clotheslines AJ over the top rope. Styles lands on the apron, and so Dolph races against the ropes to try and push him off, but as he rushes over, AJ lifts his boot and kicks him square in the head. Dolph falls back, and the Champion wastes no time in springing off the top rope and nailing the 450-Splash. He hooks the leg and gets One, gets Two and gets Three.

Winner: AJ Styles.

As ♫AJ’s music♫ «< click to play) hits, JR praises the Champ’s ability to work his way back into that match. Regal makes excuses that Ziggler had already taken a beating tonight, and if he’d been at one hundred percent he probably would have won. Styles has his hand raised, but is interrupted as we hear ♫*Drums* Rob Van Dam *Drums* The Whole F’n Show!♫ «< click to play) and the number one contender races to the ring, heads straight to the top rope, and dives off the hit Dolph with a Five Star Frog Splash! He holds his ribs and gets to his feet. “I don’t hesitate AJ, and it could happen just as fast as that.” Van Dam and AJ stare one another down, as Regal says “For God’s sakes! This is no way to treat a King. Poor Dolph Ziggler, is there anyone who hasn’t hit him tonight? Jealousy, that’s what it is!” JR states that Van Dam clearly wanted to send Styles a message that on Sunday, he will not hesitate to leap off of anything and hit the Five Star. “It’s sure to be one amazing contest, and one amazing pay-per-view, make sure you don’t miss it here on KWF Blogs. From me Jim Ross, and from William Regal, goodnight folks, and we’ll see YOU at Sovereignty 4!” We fade out on the image of RVD and AJ Styles staring one another down, a classic image where the Champ raises his Belt showing the challenger what’s at stake, the highest prize in the industry.
