A sun rises as the sky lights up. The sun then turns into the KWF World Heavyweight Championship as it hangs from the ceiling. All of a sudden, Chris Jericho comes into the picture and grabs the Belt. We are witnessing the ending to last month’s Sovereignty 4 pay-per-view. As AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam lay motionless in a wreckage of tables, a suited Jericho cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase and becomes the new KWF Champion. The action speeds up as we see several of the KWF superstars who will be on show tonight, including Styles, Van Dam and Jericho as we hear Edge’s voice announcing the Triple Threat match for KWF SummerSlam. ♫the theme of Jennifer Lopez♫ «< click to watch/play) plays over the top of the clip as we see the likes of CM Punk, Christian, AJ Lee, Sheamus, The Dudleys, Kurt Angle and more in a montage, before the image cuts back to a picture of the sun again, burning brightly with the KWF logo popping out in Rated R stars. “And now, the Keystone Wrestling Federation presents… SummerSlam!!!”

The pyro’s go off and smoke fills the arena as Staples Center goes absolutely bananas. “Welcome everyone to Los Angeles, California! Welcome everyone to Staples Center! Welcome everyone to KWF SummerSlam! Hello I am Good Ol’ JR Jim Ross here with my broadcast colleague William Regal, and I don’t know about you William, but I am ready for one of the biggest SummerSlam’s in the history of professional wrestling.” Regal nods “Oh absolutely Jim. We’re here in LA once again. Every KWF SummerSlam has taken places here in Staples Center, and it’s a perfect setting for such an occasion. What a night it promises to be. Wall-to-wall talent in the locker room back there, and we are going to get to see some incredible matches here tonight, such as Sheamus versus the Big Show for the Hardcore Title, an eight-man Ultimate-X match for the X-Division Championship and of course The Dudleys versus Alex Shelley and Samoa Joe for the KWF Tag Team Titles.” JR: “They should be outstanding bouts, but don’t forget there is also AJ Lee against Edge’s Assistant Madison Rayne for the Women’s Title, CM Punk and Kurt Angle have a Sovereignty rematch, but this time in a grueling Submission match, with number one contendership to the KWF Title on the line. The stakes are so high. And of course our headline act, Triple Threat for the KWF World Heavyweight Championship, Chris Jericho versus Rob Van Dam versus AJ Styles. What a card, and what a way to start off SummerSlam, here comes our Intercontinental Champion. ♫Go! If you close your eyes, your life, a naked truth revealed!♫ «< click to play)
Christian Cage enters to a mixture of boos and cheers. He is playing up to his ‘Peeps’ though and slaps his chest to acknowledge those cheering him. JR reminds us how Cage became Champion after beating Randy Orton at the Great American Bash. He then went on to make his own Title defenses, offering a match first to Zack Ryder and then Eric Young. General Manager Edge felt he was doing this to avoid defending his Belt against more competitive opponents at pay-per-views, “with all due respect to Ryder and EY.” Edge therefore, he told his former best friend that he would be defending his Title tonight, but that he wouldn’t be picking his own opponent, or even finding out who it is until the tron rises. Regal: “It’s unfair Jim, how’s Christian supposed to prepare for this match if he doesn’t know whom he’s facing?” JR: “But that’s the whole point. It doesn’t matter who his opponent is, he’s a fighting Champion, right?” Christian waits in the ring and all eyes are on the stage awaiting whomever his opponent is. Cage looks up toward the GM’s Skybox and we see Edge grinning. Edge points up toward the ceiling and Christian looks up to see that there is money falling from the ceiling. Regal: “What on earth?” The dollar bills fall toward the ring and all over the audience. Cage picks up one of the bills in the ring and as it turns out, this isn’t money at all… it’s Pope Dollars! ♫Pope is Pimpin! Aaaaaggghhh!♫ «< click to play). Christian’s face drops as The Pope, D’Angelo Dinero emerges to a huge cheer from the crowd. The ever-popular Pope casually entertains the fans as he makes his way down to the ring. JR: “D’Angelo Dinero has been out and off KWF Blogs since January where he was defeated in an Iron Man match for this Intercontinental Title against The BluePrint Matt Morgan.” Regal: “Yeah, that’s wonderful, but what right does he have to come back and challenge for the Gold again?” JR: “Aww, Pope’s a fantastic competitor and he was unlucky to lose the Iron Man match. This is his second chance and what a return it is for The Pope to open KWF SummerSlam.”

Christian Cage vs. ‘The Pope’ D’Angelo Dinero - KWF Intercontinental Championship
Christian looks totally unprepared as Regal notes that this is the first time ever that Cage and Pope are meeting in the ring. “Only at KWF Blogs” says JR. The bell rings and Dinero wants to lock it up right away, but Cage backs off and goes between the ropes. The referee backs Pope off and the fans boo. Christian claims he needs a moment to get ready, but Pope isn’t having it. He heads over and drags Cage back into the ring, before slapping him and says “Don’t be a little bitch Chrissy. The Pope came here to fight, now fight me!” The crowd cheer big time for The Pope and the slap has irked Christian, and they do finally lock up. Pope backs him up into the corner, but Cage goes behind and hits a German suplex. The opening exchanges go back and forth, with Christian giving as good as he gets, though Pope looks focused and not at all rusty considering his lengthy lay-off. He gets the Champion in a single leg Boston Crab, but Christian desperately crawls across and manages to grab the bottom rope. More exchanges occur, and Cage is able to turn the tide with a neckbreaker. He soon has Dinero’s neck on the middle rope, and he springs over the top rope to land on the outside, before returning the slap he received earlier. Pope reacts, but looks angry, then leaps over the top rope and lands on Cage in one quick moment. The crowd cheer as the action continues on the outside. The referee counts but Pope pays no attention. He slams Christian into the barrier, before bouncing his head off of it. He asks the fans whether he should throw him into the steps. They chant ‘Yes!’ (many times) and so he launches him into the steel. The fans cheer as Pope heads back into the ring.
Christian just about manages to beat the count, though he got some help from Pope who reached out to grab him and suplex him back into the ring. He covers and gets Two. Dinero tries to get the crowd going again, and continues to work over Cage. He hits a DDT and gets another near fall, before a standing dropkick sends Christian into the corner. Pope slides his knee-pads down and sets up for the D’Angelo Dinero Express (DDE). He races across, but Christian leaps off the middle rope and hits a Sunset Flip, getting a Two-count. He gets up and kicks Pope viciously across the chest before Dinero can get up. He covers and gets only a One-count this time. JR comments on how even this match has been, and that it could turn drastically in either one’s favor at any moment. Regal: “I think this goes to show that Christian is indeed a worthy Champion, which is what I said all along. Not everyone can beat Randy Orton, Zack Ryder and Eric what’s-his-name.” Christian is on top and throws Pope into the corner post shoulder first. As Dinero stumbles out, Christian grabs him and goes for the KillSwitch. However, Pope pushes him into the corner, before taking his chance and hitting a version of the DDE! He rolls Cage up and gets One, gets Two, but no! Cage kicks out. JR points out that it wasn’t a full on DDE as Pope didn’t have time to go from one corner of the ring to the other. “The impact of the DDE is important, it’s not as effective with a short run-up.” Despite staying in the match, Cage is on the back foot, as Pope seems to be picking him off and heading for victory. After a powerslam, a battered Christian rolls under the ropes and to the outside again. Pope follows as Christian grabs his Intercontinental Title Belt and storms off. The referee counts as Pope follows Cage, saying “Hey man where you goin? We got a Title match here Chrissy!” He grabs Cage by the shoulder, but the Canadian turns around and *BAM!* nails Dinero right between the eyes with the Belt! The referee calls for the bell.
Winner by way of Disqualification: ‘The Pope’ D’Angelo Dinero.
Christian walks up the ramp as the crowd boo ferociously. Justin Roberts announces the result, but also mentions that the Title cannot change hands via DQ and therefore Christian Cage remains the Intercontinental Champion. ♫Pope’s music♫ «< click to play) hits, but he is out cold at the bottom of the ramp. Christian is at the top and turns around to smirk at the crowd and lift his Belt up over his head. JR: “Well if there were any doubts about whether Christian Cage was being genuine in his claims of being a nice guy, he’s just removed all of them with one swing of his Title Belt. Despicable behavior!” Regal: “Who is the Champion at the end of the match? Christian Cage. How can you call that despicable JR?” The fans continue to boo themselves hoarse as Christian’s old CLB smirk fills the screen.
We come to another video featuring the newest private eye in the KWF, Panther. He continues his mission, assigned to him by Edge, to locate the whereabouts of Gambit and the rest of Why So Serious. We are reminded of his journey so far where he searched all over Gambit’s home town of New Orleans, with no luck and lots of alcohol, then last Wednesday he visited Jacksonville, home of Gambit’s woman Kelly Kelly. There he spoke with Kelly’s sister Mary, who revealed that Kelly would be heading to LA soon, and so a trip across Southern America has brought Panther to the City of Angels. He is outside Staples Center, but it’s not live. “Hey there grapple fans. Panther here again, and I’m in lovely LA. The sun is shining, the people are smiling, and I’m going hunting for a nut-bar and his hot girlfriend, who is also a bit of a psycho in case you don’t remember. I’m going to search this city high and low, and when I find Remy and Kells, I’ll bring them here, to SummerSlam. You have been warned.” We follow him as he goes all around LA in a rented sports car, asking random pedestrians if they have seen Gambit. They look puzzled and shake their heads. He approaches a couple at a restaurant, but they’ve not seen him or Kelly either. He wanders onto the set of a film being shot and stops production, so that he can ask everyone if they’ve seen them. They all shout “No!” in unison. He bumps into WWE Games Director Cory Ledesma and he says “I haven’t seen him, but you can create him on WWE 13!” Panther shakes his head and moves on. He asks more and more people with no luck. He even heads into a bar where Hugh Jackman is sat. Panther looks pleased to see him. “Hey Wolverine, have you seen…” Jackman: “F**k off.” Panther quickly turns and heads out the door. He stands outside and addresses the camera again. “Well no luck it seems, but there’s a chance those two might know that SummerSlam is tonight, so that’s exactly where I’m going to be too. See you there.” After he thinks the camera is off he says to the cameraman. “I’m not usually one to get star-struck but can you believe Mark Wahlberg just told me to f**k off?”
We’re back Live backstage in the arena as Jeremy Borash is standing by for an interview. “What a start it has been to SummerSlam with The Pope returning to the KWF, and Christian Cage raising a few eyebrows with his actions thereafter. But now I am here with the men who aim to do what no other Tag Team has done in almost a year, and that is defeat The Dudleys for the KWF Tag Team Championships. I am of course talking about Alex Shelley and the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe.” The duo step into shot, and JB opens up by asking them if they are confident of their ability to work as a team tonight given they’ve had only one match together. Shelley: “That’s a fair question JB, but we’re confident enough. Me and Samoa Joe have always been about confidence, and last Wednesday, we showed exactly why everyone on Twitter thinks we’re going to win here tonight. We outperformed an established team in Ryan and Terry, and with one half of the greatest high flying tag team of all time, that’s be me, and one of the greatest wrestlers in the business today, that’s be Joe, you’ve got an unstoppable force. The Dudleys can talk big, in fact that’s what Bubba does best, but rest assured, we want those Tag Titles, and we are more than ready to come take them. Just call us the Samoan Submission Machine Guns.” JB: “But you’re not Samoan.” Shelley: “Be quiet.” JB then asks about Daniel Bryan, and do they feel bad for shoving him out of the picture. Joe: “Daniel Bryan was collateral damage JB. Nice enough guy, talented guy, but this is the KWF, it’s The Dudleys, and fact is that he didn’t get the job done. When Alex came to me with an offer of another shot at those two, I took it for three reasons. One, Alex Shelley has an incredible pedigree in tag team wrestling. Two, Daniel Bryan was a lead weight who cost me matches. And three, I want to destroy Bubba Ray and Devon. Dudleys! (looks to camera) Joe… and Shelley… are gonna kill you!” The duo exit.
The Dudleys vs. Samoa Joe & Alex Shelley – KWF World Tag Team Titles
After both teams finish their entrances, there’s a lot of jaw-jacking going on between Bubba and Shelley, who start the match off. The bell rings and we’re underway. JR reminds us of just how dominant The Dudleys have been. “They won the WWE Tag Titles at Casino Warfare last year and went on to become the KWF Tag Champs when the WWE and TNA Belts were unified at KWF Starrcade last December. Throughout their dominance they’ve defeated The Bucks, The Hart Dynasty, they even took out Beer Money, always proclaiming themselves as the greatest tag team of all time, and this, their 28th Title reign, gives them an awful lot of ammunition to back that argument up.” Regal: “They are fine examples of Champions, and fully deserve those Belts. And by the way, according to them they’re 30x Champions, but that’s more a soccer story if anything (look it up). But as I said on Wednesday, part of me hopes Joseph and Alexander pull this off, then Edge might call off his idiotic search for Why So Serious.” The match has begun quite well for Shelley as he uses his speed to ground Bubba. He kicks him down, and then comes off the ropes to hit a low dropkick to the face. He is enjoying his offense here as JR reminds us of the various battles Shelley and Chris Sabin have had with The Dudleys down the years. Regal points out that while Shelley is on top, he’s not making any tags. “He needs to utilize Joe. It’s a cliché but quick tags are crucial in tag team wrestling, but Shelley seems to be saving his partner for when he gets into trouble.” He is looking as confident as he said he was pre-match, and heads over to knock Devon off the apron. That proves to be a mistake though as the enraged Dudley comes in and hits Shelley from behind. JR: “Devon’s twice Shelley’s size and he’s almost beheaded him here.” Joe comes in to chase Devon away, but the damage has been done and now Bubba is in charge. He and Devon straight away start tagging and executing double-team moves as Joe looks on. Shelley is in trouble as Bubba and Devon have isolated him in the far corner.
Joe cuts a frustrated figure on the far side as Devon is now the legal man and hits a powerslam, getting a Two-count. He hits a few elbows before tagging Bubba back in, who hits a senton and stares at Joe as he pins, getting Two. He starts yelling abuse at Joe: “So here we are again huh? You tag with some pipsqueak and let them take the beating, while you just stand there doing nothing!” Joe reacts and heads into the ring. The referee stops him, which allows further double teaming by The Dudleys. Joe heads out as they throw Shelley against the ropes. They go for a double back drop, but Shelley jumps up and onto their backs, before leaping off and making a spectacular flying tag to Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine comes in all guns blazing and takes both Dudleys down with a clothesline. He follows this with kicks, and as Devon escapes to the outside, Joe starts hitting Bubba with rights and backs him up into the corner. He hits fast shots to the stomach, before an enziguiri sends the big man crashing to the canvas. Joe is on fire here and continues to work over Bubba. The two go back and forth, and tags are made in and out between both teams. Shelley recovers and gets some shots in on Devon, including a tornado DDT that almost gets Three. Joe even manages to get Devon in the Kokina Clutch, but Bubba comes in to make the save. The Dudleys get a foothold back in the match again as they double team Joe, but a blind tag from Shelley after they send Joe against the ropes allows Shelley to spring off the top rope and hit a cross body across both of them. The fans are loving it, and Shelley heads to the top rope. He flies off, but gets caught by Devon. Bubba gets to his feet and heads to the ropes. Devon lifts Shelley and they nail a 3D! Devon makes the cover, and Bubba boots down Joe to ensure he can’t make the save and The Dudleys retain!
Winners and Still KWF World Tag Champions: The Dudleys.
JR: “They’ve done it again. The Dudleys retain here at SummerSlam, and just look at Edge.” We see the GM in his Skybox shaking his head. Regal: “I really wish he wasn’t so biased, but unfortunately this is only going to fuel his desire to bring those lunatic comic-book characters back here. Let’s just hope Panther is an awful detective, which appears to be the case so far.”

We come to a video package. ♫Well! Well it’s the Big Show!♫ «< click to play). We are shown the devastating destruction dished out by the World’s Largest Athlete over the past few months. He has defeated numerous challengers, using his superior size and strength, and with the addition of weapons, Show has been unstoppable. We see him slam people through tables, smash them with chairs, Chokeslam them and WMD the heads off of anyone who has crossed his path. We hear Show’s roar and William Regal’s proclamation that the Giant is the most dominant force in the KWF today. Then the video changes as we see the night when Sheamus came down to attack Show and Chris Jericho when they went after RVD. The next week, The Celtic Warrior stated his desire to challenge Show for the Hardocre Title, to which the big man accepted. Now two of the fiercest competitors in the industry collide in a Hardcore match for the Title of toughest S.O.B in the KWF. We come back into the arena, and the Champion makes his entrance to a chorus of boos.
Big Show vs. Sheamus – Hardcore match for the Hardcore Title
Sheamus is widely cheered by the LA crowd, desperate to see the Big Show given a real challenge for the Title. His last defense came against Kofi Kingston, and as Regal points out, it was a fairly routine win for the Champ. Show and Sheamus stare one another down as they slowly step towards each other. JR: “Two behemoths here, and I think that’s why Big Show accepted this challenge, he doesn’t like that Sheamus isn’t scared of him. Everyone is supposed to be scared of Big Show, but not the Irishman. He wants to fight him, and I can’t wait to see how this one unfolds.” They jaw-jack at the start, especially Show who is telling Sheamus how he’s way out of his league and should never have stuck his nose in. The red haired brute simply smiles back, and offers a test of strength. Show can’t quite believe it, but Sheamus is insistent. Regal: “Wow, how old school. A test of strength, what on earth is Sheamus thinking?” JR: “Well he did beat the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry last Wednesday, obviously he’s feeling confident.” Show brings his hand up slowly, and they eventually lock up. They push against one another, bumping chests and the Champ is getting the upper hand. He pushes down on Sheamus and eventually forces him down to one knee. Regal: “See I told ya. Why on earth test strength against a 500-pound monster like Big Show?” Show has a big smile on his face, but not for long. Sheamus fights back and manages to get back up to his feet. He forces Big Show’s hands to turn over, and now it’s the Irishman who is on top. However, a panicky Big Show hits a boot to the stomach, and the hold is broken. Show throws big rights at Sheamus, battering him all the way into the corner. JR: “What a sore loser. Sheamus had him in trouble, and Big Show had to resort to a cheap shot.” Show is in charge now, and he has Sheamus in the corner. He shushes the crowd and slaps his opponent across the chest. Sheamus cries out in pain, but Show does it twice more, leaving big red marks on the chest of the challenger. The match goes on with the Champion in charge, hitting big rights and a sidewalk slam. But there’s no cover as he soon heads to the outside for weapons.
The Champion is in complete control of this match, and now weapons are thrown into the mix. He takes a kendo stick from under the ring, as well as launching a trash can and a steel chair into the squared circle. He heads back in and swings for Sheamus, cracking the stick across his back. It’s not long before the welts start to show on the back of the Irishman, to match the red patches on his front. Sheamus is desperately crawling along the canvas, as Show lines him up for another shot. However, as he goes for it again, Sheamus grabs the trash can and blocks the shot, with Show putting a huge dent in it. Sheamus then grabs the chair and swings it at Show, knocking the kendo stick out of his hand, before jabbing him in the gut, and then smashing the steel across the head of the Champ. Show is dazed, but still on two feet. Sheamus hits him again, and he falls against the ropes, but bounces back up and is still on his feet, so the Celtic Warrior comes off the ropes and hits a flying shoulder barge, knocking Show off his feet. Finally Sheamus is getting some offense in, and the crowd are right behind him. He tries the Irish Curse backbreaker, but can’t list his opponent, so simply hits a few shots and clotheslines him down. He heads outside and looks for more weapons. He finds a black bag, a bag full of thumb tacks! He heads into the ring and pours them all over the canvas. JR: “My God. Sheamus is really getting into the spirit of this match. I just hope he knows what he’s doing.” Show gets up and Sheamus tries to get him up into the High Cross. However, again it proves tough. JR: “He was going to High Cross Show onto those tacks, but he can’t do it. Wait, no!” JR reacts to the fact that Big Show has come to life and reversed Sheamus’ advances, before grabbing him around the throat and Chokeslamming him right onto the tacks! Sheamus writhes around in pain, as we see blood start to trickle from his back. Big Show roars to the fans, who boo him. He is setting up for the WMD. However, he stops and looks down at the steel chair beneath him. Regal: “You don’t want to make Big Show angry, especially not when a steel chair is within reach.” Show is soaked with sweat, but he grabs the chair and as Sheamus gets to his feet, he swings the steel at his head. However, Sheamus ducks and then *BAM!* Brogue Kick! He boots the steel chair right into the face of the Big Show, who falls onto his bag like a tree being sawn down. Sheamus hooks the leg and the referee counts One… Two… THREE!
Winner and New KWF Hardcore Champion: Sheamus.
♫It’s a shame that they lost their heads, a careless man could wind up dead!♫ «< click to play) Sheamus almost looks in shock as his hand is raised by the referee. JR: “Where did that come from? He hit that Brogue Kick from out of nowhere, and smashed the steel chair right into the face of Big Show. We have a new Hardcore Champion! His first individual Championship in the KWF!” Big Show is out cold on the mat as Sheamus is handed his Belt and he climbs the turnbuckles to raise it to the fans. Regal: “He got quite lucky there, but a big mistake by Show. He basically had the match won, all he had to do was hit the WMD, but he waited far too long and then went for the chair instead. I would say his fist is harder than that chair, but he went with it and paid the ultimate price.” Sheamus celebrates as we head towards the back.

We see Edge in his Skybox having just watched the Hardcore match. He’s grinning to himself and he says: “Yes! That was awesome! Yes!” Behind Edge, we see Daniel Bryan walk in. Bryan: “Yes?!” Edge turns around: “Yes! Did you see that?! Man, our Hardcore Division is like niche. A place where only the toughest SOB’s go. They like bumps, they like bruises and man, Sheamus is the Champ now. This is great!” Bryan stands there unfazed. Edge sees that he has something on his mind and Bryan says that he’s disappointed that he’s not involved in Ultimate-X tonight. Edge says that he can’t put Bryan into the match, because qualifiers have already happened. “But I do think it was pretty unfair on you when Joe ditched you for Alex Shelley. I’ll tell you what Daniel, seeing as Joe and Shelley’s theory of them defeating The Dudleys failed here tonight, how about this coming Wednesday night on Turmoil you go one on one with Alex Shelley. Get a little payback for him messing up your SummerSlam.” Bryan seems happy enough: “That sounds great man. Thanks, and hey, congrats, you’re running this show pretty damn well.” Edge grins as Bryan leaves. Edge: “I love this job.”
Live in the main arena, Staples Center rises to its collective feet as ♫AJ Lee’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and the KWF Women’s Champion makes her way down to the ring. The comms remind us that AJ won a number one contenders’ Chick tournament to get to WrestleMania and headline against then Champion Angelina Love. Love had back-up in Velvet Sky, but AJ had it in the form of her Chickbuster best friend Kaitlyn and Lee was successful in ending The Beautiful People’s reign on top. AJ has gone on to successfully defend her Title in challenges from Mickie James and Melina. Tonight she’s against the new number one contender, a Chick who was once a Beautiful Person herself; Madison Rayne. ♫Madison’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and she’s booed upon her entrance, but doesn’t get as much heat from the crowd as her former BP colleagues usually do. JR: “Madison’s always been a lady that seems to have intentions and motives, but she wasn’t as devious in getting this Title shot as many, including myself may have presumed.” Regal: “Oh Jim, you should give her credit. She maintained that she was in love with Edge and when he gave her a chance at being his Assistant, she took it. Of course, Edge being the Rated R red blooded male that he is, he’s probably taken advantage of Madison’s perks. But I digress. My point is, Rayne hasn’t asked for anything from Edge and she earned this Title shot fair and square.” Both Chicks are in the ring and the referee hands the Women’s Title to ringside.
AJ Lee vs. Madison Rayne – KWF Women’s Championship
*Ding* *Ding-Ding* the match is underway and the two lock it up. Madison puts Lee in a headlock, but AJ elbows out of it and takes Madison over in a snapmare. Rayne gets up and swings a right hand, but AJ back-chops her, once, twice and attempts a third but Madison kicks her in the gut and runs at her with an attempted clothesline, but AJ catches the horizontal arm and turns Rayne the other way to drop her with a modified neckbreaker. The crowd applaud as AJ is first to get up. JR: “Brilliant. This is the most perfect thing about the KWF Chicks. They can wrestle with the best of them and AJ for one always provides great enthusiasm, great action and that’s why she’s our Women’s Champion.” Regal: “She is certainly an eye-grabber Jim. You can’t take your eyes off her when she’s in that ring. WWE has currently given Miss Lee the role of GM to Monday Night Raw. I don’t get it personally, she’s a brilliant wrestler, why would you have her do anything else?” The match has gone on in the meantime and the crowd lean further and further into AJ’s corner as it seems that Madison Rayne is doing all she can to get the referee on her side. Any time AJ has the chance to really take control of the match, Madison feigns injury and calls the referee over. She strokes his chest and gives him puppy-dog eyes. This frustrates AJ who comes over to Rayne by the corner, but Madison boots her in the shins and AJ goes face-first into the middle turnbuckle. Madison then has all the energy in the world to get up and punt AJ in the ribs so that she flings through the ropes and lands hard as she hits the mat at ringside. Madison smiles as she looks back toward the referee. She slowly crawls under the bottom rope, seductively moving along the apron before standing up and turning around to lift her mesh skirt up around her waist to show her skin-tan shorts. Regal gets excited: “Wow. Yes, lovely. I vote Madison’s waist to carry the Women’s Title.” JR: “Aww please, this isn’t a democracy and that girl better refocus on the match.” The male portion of the audience cheer Madison’s actions, but the women boo. She then sees AJ getting up and she dives toward her with an attempted axe-handle, but Lee moves and guides Madison face-first off the edge of the announcers table. The crowd collectively cheer that as the ref finally gets the Ten-count going. AJ rolls into the ring and waits as Rayne soon gathers herself. She holds her jaw and all of a sudden has a mean look on her face. AJ is dead centre of the ring and she leans over to taunts her opponent, daring her to get back in the ring. The camera zooms in on the Champ’s backside. Regal: “No doubt a good job there by our director in the truck.”

Madison obliges to Lee’s taunt and she gets back in the ring. The crowd scream as all hell breaks loose. Both Chicks go back and forth with rights and chops and Madison then grabs Lee in a front facelock. She grins as she thinks she has control, but Lee backs her up into the corner. AJ shoulder barges into Rayne’s gut a number of times before backing away and setting to shoot a targeted shoulder right back at her. As Lee attempts the move however, Madison dives out the way and AJ’s speed takes her through the turnbuckles and we hear a loud smack as Lee’s shoulder slams against the ring-post. The audience ‘Ohhh’ at the impact and Lee is slowly out the corner. She looks to be in excruciating pain and Madison doesn’t help as she then target’s AJ’s arm and shoulder. Rayne gets full control of the match and she grounds Lee to the canvas. JR: “AJ’s in far too much pain here, she could have broken a bone or dislocated that shoulder.” Lee’s down and Rayne covers for One, Two – but AJ kicks out. Madison performs a key lock, pulling AJ’s own elbow against her shoulder and she then gets up to boot Lee right in the shoulder again. She covers for One, Two – but again AJ kicks out. JR: “She’s not letting this go, she’s a fighting Champion. What resolve AJ is showing here.” Regal: “She’s a daft bint JR. She’s going through quite a measure of pain and she exerts a lot of energy every time she kicks out. A smarter person would have quit by now. Always live to fight another day I say.” AJ continues to kick out of pin attempts, but Madison is relentless in her attacks. She yells at the ref for ‘not doing his job’ and this give AJ a minor chance to at least stand up. She swings for Rayne, finally mounting an offense, but she’s doing it with one arm and Madison soon regains control, counters AJ’s attack and clutches her opponent right into a Rayne-Drop! The crowd are stunned as AJ seems to be down and out and they’re right, Madison covers for Three and she’s done it, we have a new Women’s Champion!
Winner and New KWF Women’s Champion: Madison Rayne.
♫Madison’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and she jumps around celebrating. The referee hands her the Women’s Title and she smiles and screams with delight. AJ is seen to by the ref and he goes to the corner to ask for medical assistance to come down. Madison continues celebrating, but while the ref’s back is turned she leans down to plant the heavy Women’s Belt right on AJ’s injured shoulder. The crowd boo. JR: “Oh come on! Was that really necessary?! You’ve won the match God damnit!” Regal chuckles and says that this is a Rated R Women’s Champion. Madison fluffs her hair, pushes up her chest before putting the Women’s Title by her feet and locking the Belt together. She then steps into it and bends over to seductively put the Belt on like a skirt. The camera-work/director does his bit to show us all her *ahem assets and Madison eventually exits as Champion while medics check on AJ. Regal is speechless at Madison, but JR says that he hopes AJ is not too hurt.

We see Panther again, this time Live as he appears to be in the parking lot at Staples Center. He appears to be waiting for someone. All of a sudden, Edge comes into the picture. “Hey man how’s it going?” They shake hands as Edge asks him how the hunt for Gambit is going. “Not great man. I’ve looked all over this arena but no sign. I don’t think they’re in LA, but they’re close, I can sense it.” Edge: “He’s an elusive guy alright, but after seeing The Dudleys retain yet again I’m running out of options. I need you to find him and find him soon.” Panther promises he’ll get him soon enough, which is followed by Edge asking him what he’s doing in the car park. “I’m waiting for someone.” Edge: “Hmm, might that be a certain Queen? Because if so I imagine a certain King might not be too happy about that.” Panther: “You know me man, do I give a damn what a King goon like Ziggles wants?” Edge grins as Hornswoggle wanders over. He is in his little butler outfit, and talks to Panther in his little language. “Ha-hah-hahhahhah-ha!” Panther nods along as if he understands. “What’s that Hornswoggle? Trouble at the old mill? Oh no I misunderstood, you’re saying that Dolph isn’t allowing Kaitlyn to see me? Hmm, looks like you were right boss.” Edge: “I appreciate that you’re pissed off, but promise me you won’t go start anything over this. I can’t afford any backstage brawls here tonight at SummerSlam. We want to be invited back here again next summer. Besides, you have a mission. When you come back you can kick Dolph’s ass every night if you so wish, but not tonight.” Panther sighs and nods. “Okay man, I’ll be good. But when this is all over I want some kind of reward, and it is very likely to involve being given the chance to get revenge on that spaghetti haired knobber.” Edge: “Fair enough. Good luck with the rest of your search. Keep me updated.” They shake hands and Panther exits. Edge asks Hornswoggle if he’s seen Madison since her win, and he answers, but Edge has no idea what he’s saying. “Get the King to hire you an English teacher.”
We go to a video package that highlights the many superstars and moves that have been shown to the wrestling audience through the medium of X-Division wrestling. We hear a voiceover from current X-Division Champion ‘Black Machismo’ Jay Lethal and in his Macho-like voice he says that X-Division wrestling is the most unique form of the sport because you never know how your opponent is going to hit you. “It’s not the standard oh no, it’s not about headlocks or wristlocks no, you get people tryna yank your arm off. You get’m diving off the top rope yeah, they fly higher than Eagle’s and in Ultimate-X, in Ultimate-X ya gotta be twice as careful because there are seven other guys in that ring and they all want a piece of ya! Ohh yeah.” The video shows us footage of how Jay Lethal became the KWF X-Division Champion for the very first time when he defeated Austin Aries at Sovereignty 4. We hear a voiceover from Aries: “Jay Lethal ain’t got sh*t on me. I’m the greatest man that ever lived, what one fluke victory is supposed to make me feel like I’m any less of a premier superstar?! I am the only superstar! A-Double, the X-Division Championship, the two go hand in hand, you can’t have one without the other and that’s why I’m getting my Title back in Ultimate-X.” Throughout the rest of the clip we see various footage of how tonight’s X-Division Title challengers qualified to compete in Ultimate-X. The video highlights the fact that Ultimate-X is a KWF SummerSlam tradition and soon the montage concludes and we’re back in the main arena. The ‘X’ structure is ready and we see that the X-Division Championship is already hanging from the cross-wires of the Ultimate-X. It’s the silence before the storm. ♫Ooohhhh Yeeeaaahhhhh♫ «< click to play). Jay Lethal makes his entrance to the crowd’s approval and we watch as the remaining contenders come out to compete for the biggest prize in X-Division wrestling. The comms tell that this is the only time of the year that so many athletes get a chance at X-Gold at the same time. They remind us that aside from former Champion Austin Aries, every other superstar in this match had to qualify. JR: “Jay Lethal’s at a distinct disadvantage as Champ, as seven other superstars will be gunning for his X-Division Title.” Regal: “Yes, but that pillock is embracing this whole tradition JR. If I’d have just won the Gold then I’d be doing my utmost to keep it, not give it away in a match like this.” JR: “Aww Lethal’s no fool, and he’s a man who loves the competition, he loves the thrill of X-Division wrestling. This is going to be great. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being with us. The SummerSlam Ultimate-X X-Division Title match is up next!”
‘Black Machismo’ Jay Lethal vs. Austin Aries vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Kazarian vs. Sin Cara vs. Amazing Red vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Low-ki – Ultimate-X match for the X-Division Title
The bell rings and Austin Aries immediately runs away from his opponents to go up the turnbuckles. Sin Cara and Kazarian chase him. JR: “Those two qualified for this match together, defeating Yoshi Tatsu and Suicide to make it to SummerSlam.” Regal wonders if their pairing means anything in terms of them working together tonight, but that theory is quickly squashed as they first yank Aries off the turnbuckles and then trade blows with one another. Christopher Daniels meanwhile has taken control of Justin Gabriel and their battle has already dropped to ringside. The Champ Jay Lethal and Low-ki are putting on a clinic in the ring, going back and forth trading spectacular moves and Amazing Red gets involved as well. JR: “Three of X-Division’s greatest right here folks. TNA once had’m all, but now you’ll only get the best of them on the only literary Pro Wrestling unit on the planet, KWF Blogs!” Regal: “Alright Jim, don’t over sell it.” It’s near impossible to keep your eyes on everything that’s going on and we watch as superstars often switch competitors and the comms allude to the fact that it’s every man for himself at in Ultimate-X. After the frantic early pace, the wrestler’s soon try to take their chance at going for the Gold. We watch as Christopher Daniels makes the climb, but he’s stopped by Lethal. Frankie Kazarian climbs the outside metal structure that holds up the X-cables, but he’s stopped and bent out of shape by Low-ki who climbs the other side of the metal, higher than Kaz and he performs Warrior’s Way down the side of the metal so that Kaz is stamped on, on his shoulders, and he folds up like an accordion upon hitting the floor! Low-ki lands awkwardly too, but the crowd go nuts and the comms review multiple replays. JR: “Oh my God, can you believe such physicality?! What a move that was!” Regal: “Haha, I’ve said this before Mister Ross; since Austin Aries held this Title the X-Division has become a tad more intense. It’s not about that mumbo jumbo ‘respect’ anymore, these guys all want the Gold at any cost. That move right there proves how much Low-ki wants it and as this match goes on, whoever wants it most will get it. It’s about winning the Gold and nothing else! I love it!” Justin Gabriel, a former KWF X-Division Champion manages to quietly climb the metal structure. He gets to the point where a cable meets the metal, but up the turnbuckles comes Austin Aries. Aries is two steps up the metal and two feet up from the top turnbuckle. He and Gabriel trade blows at first, but down below we watch as Amazing Red performs Seeing Red on Jay Lethal (he lifts Lethal into a hip-toss, but Jay lands on his feet so Red grabs him in a full nelson and drops him into a faceplant). The crowd ‘Ohhh’ on the impact of the move and we then see Austin Aries go up and around the metal structure where Gabriel is. He hurracanrana’s Gabriel way off the top – and Gabriel flips twice in the air to land a 450 on the X-Division Champion! Regal yells: “Jesus Christ!” and the roof blows off Staples Center! The comms review multiple replays of that sequence of moves and Regal follows up: “This is ridiculous! How is that physically possible?! The move was on Gabriel for God’s sake – how did he just do that Jim?!” JR: “By God, anything can happen in X-Division wrestling and that there ladies and gentlemen proves that these are the very best X-Division superstars on the face of this planet. That was absolutely spectacular and I’ll tell you, that sequence of moves as you call it Mister Regal, that’ll live in KWF fans’ memories for a very long time.”
We watch as Aries is then dragged down from the corner by Red and those two battle back and forth. Elsewhere we watch as Christopher Daniels and Sin Cara are going at it at ringside and Daniels is relentless as he grabs Cara by the head and bangs it like a basketball off the base of the metal X structure. He taunts toward the audience who boo back. Daniels then sets to climbs up the metal and he flings himself backward to perform a cross-body, but Sin Cara instinctively dropkicks Daniels right in the abdomen and the impact of the move sends the Fallen Angel back right into the metal! The crowd gasp as Daniels hits his head hard. JR and Regal cannot believe how this match is shaping up and they tell, from their experience of watching Ultimate-X matches, that the competition and intensity only steps up here in the KWF. Regal: “The X-Division was born in TNA Wrestling Jim, everyone knows that, but in the KWF there’s a raw deal to how these men compete. Almost as if our superstars are embodiments of meshes. Amalgamations of X-Division wrestling and the old WCW Cruiserweight wrestling. Add to that the Luchador leaps of Sin Cara and goodness Jim, Edge must be rubbing his hands together up in his Skybox. This is incredible.” JR: “Indeed Mister Regal and now we’re down to the nitty gritty as you like to call it William. Who’s going to take this opportunity, who’s going to make it to the top, across those cables and leave SummerSlam with the ultimate prize in X-Division wrestling?!” We watch as Low-ki is up the metal structure once more and he sets to go along the cables. On the opposite corner it’s Amazing Red who climbs and crawls. Justin Gabriel is climbing turnbuckles too, as is Sin Cara on the far side. The crowd watch on, wondering who’s going to make it. All four superstars get toward the middle and Low-ki kicks toward Gabriel, but misses and he drops to the canvas where Jay Lethal’s up and waiting. He grabs Low-ki and administers an expert Lethal Combination! (front modified backbreaker into a reverse STO). The crowd cheer as Low-ki bounces and rolls out of the ring on impact. Frankie Kazarian comes back into play and he reaches up to try pull down Amazing Red, but Red kicks him away and then he maneuvers to pull himself up toward the cable legs first and he then lets his torso drop so that he’s hanging there like a baboon. He then reaches down to have a hanging fist-fight with the standing Kazarian. JR: “That’s impressive.” Regal: “That’s bloody amazing is what it is, and that’s me saying that.” Jay Lethal grabs Kaz for an Irish-whip, but Kaz reverses and instead sends Lethal out through the ropes to ringside. Kaz waits as Christopher Daniels is back in the ring and he yanks down Sin Cara from the hanging cables. Daniels decks him with the Angel’s Wings and Kaz meanwhile back-body drops an oncoming Austin Aries to ringside. Kazarian then sees Aries, Lethal and Low-ki down below and he springs himself with aid from the top rope to dive upon all three opponents! The crowd go wild and we watch on as Justin Gabriel kicks Red off the cables. Red flips to amazingly land on his feet and he sees all the commotion at ringside so he runs toward the ropes, performs a cartwheel and leaps over backward over the top rope performing an outstanding corkscrew moonsault! The Staples Center is rocking as the comms review a plethora of replays. We then see Justin Gabriel try to gather himself and slide along the cables to grab the Belt. However, Christopher Daniels, an X-Division original, he’s up to the cables and is already half-way across. JR: “Gabriel’s got his hands on the Title! He could do it, he could win the Gold!” But no, Daniels makes it over in time to kick at Gabriel, knocking him off balance and this allows him to slide closer to the Gold and he’s got it! Daniels grabs the Belt! We have a new X-Division Champion!
Winner and New X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels.
The new Champion drops to the canvas. He drops to his knees as he embraces the X-Division Title and Staples Center is on its collective feet. Regal: “Everyone is applauding him, so they should.” JR: “Aww, Mister Regal I think they’re applauding this match. What a contest it was. Bodies flying everywhere, the competition and intensity of it all. This is the first X-Division Ultimate-X match I have ever called and by God I’m impressed. What a night and indeed, congratulations to Christopher Daniels.” Daniels celebrates as he wins the X-Division Title in his home city of LA. We see a shot of Jay Lethal at ringside. He looks disappointed knowing that he only held the X-Title for a month. JR: “But there is no shame in losing Ultimate-X. Lethal’s day will come again soon I’m sure of it.” The comms then take us through multiple replays to review the focal points of this match. They continue to talk up the efforts of all the superstars involved and Regal finishes by describing the match as “utterly breathtaking.”
We go to a video package taking us through highlight’s of the career of Jennifer Lopez. We see clips of her music videos, newspaper headlines, images of her ex-boyfriends and even ex-husbands. JLo, or Jenny from the Block as some call her, has had a life perhaps like no other. And tonight, she performs Live at SummerSlam on KWF Blogs! The video fades out and the arena is dark. There’s an explosion on stage and a spotlight hits Jennifer Lopez! The audience are on their feet as JLo performs a collaboration of her most recent hit singles; ‘On The Floor,’ ‘Dance Again’ and ‘Goin’ In.’ Lopez has the crowd bouncing to her music and salivating at her Rated R dance moves. She ends her gig by saying: “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for having me. I’m JLo, you’ve all been beautiful, thank you!” She exits and up on the tron we see that a collaboration video of her songs tonight can be viewed HERE at KWF Blogs YouTube channel.

At ringside JR and William Regal exhale at the performance from Ms Lopez. We even see JR take his hat off and pat down his sweat with a hankerchief. Very quickly though we hear ♫the music of Kurt Angle♫ «< click to play) and the comms move on to what is now set to be a number one contenders’ match to the KWF World Heavyweight Title. Angle enters looking as ready as he’s ever been for an all-or-nothing match. He receives an indifferent reception from the crowd, but Regal maintains that Angle is an Olympic Gold Medalist and so the man has fans everywhere he goes. ♫CM Punk’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and he gets a standing ovation. The noise doesn’t bug Angle as he continues his warm-up routine during Punk’s entrance. The fans are going wild with anticipation for this one. JR: “CM Punk didn’t have the best of starts to 2012, losing the KWF Title and then losing to The UnderTaker at WrestleMania.” Regal: “Yeah, and since then he’d not won Jim, not won a single match until having his hand raised against Kurt Angle at Sovereignty 4. But I must tell our fans that Angle won the original match that night. It was set to be a Three Falls match and Kurt won 2-1. But because Angle didn’t win 3-0, Punk goaded him into a Five Falls contest so instead of winning 2-1, Angle ended up losing 3-2. CM Punk got away with that Mister Ross.” JR: “Perhaps he did William, but that one fall alone within that 2-1 score had Punk’s confidence already resurfacing. Since then he’s been more vocal in telling us that how good he is and he’s backed it up, getting a fantastic victory over Cody Rhodes this past Wednesday night on Turmoil.” Regal: “JR, your selective memory baffles me. What about Punk’s loss to Chris Jericho the first Turmoil after Sovereignty?!” JR: “Aww come on, Kurt Angle interfered in that match and the distraction cost Punk. No, I for one believe that CM Punk is on a mission here tonight to prove that he is back to claiming that he’s the best in the world. If he wins, goodness folks, if he wins, he becomes number one contender and come the Fall, we may have a new World Heavyweight Champion by the name of CM Punk.” Regal chuckles: “Of course you’re completely forgetting Kurt Angle.” JR: “Oh not at all. Kurt too has a point to prove and he’ll make be trying his hardest to ensure a victory here tonight. It’s so intriguing William. The man that taps out tonight knows that he’s letting go of a World Championship opportunity. And when you have two men like a CM Punk, like a Kurt Angle – I don’t see either of them quitting William, we could be here all night!” Regal: “Haha, good. That’s exactly what the Keystone Wrestling Federation is all about Jim. The very best in Professional Wrestling entertainment. Granted we throw a few arses on the screen and throw in some comedy, but this is the core of what we do. Punk versus Angle – God, it feels like WrestleMania in here. This is going to be great!”
Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk – Submission match. Winner becomes number one contender to the KWF World Heavyweight Title
The ref calls for the bell and we are underway. The two lock it up and Punk goes for a wrist-lock, but with his free arm Angle punches him off his feet. The crowd gasp as Punk lays on the canvas looking up at his opponent and Angle bounces on the spot yelling “Come on! Get up!” Punk obliges quickly and locks up with Angle again. This time Punk tries to push Kurt toward the corner, but Angle stands his ground and punches Punk again. Punk also stands his ground though and he punches back. Angle smirks and asks Punk for more, so Punk attempts a roundhouse kick, but Angle catches his legs, turns him over and the crowd noise level rises. JR: “Good God, an Ankle Lock, Angle’s going for it right away here William!” Regal: “Of course he is. He’ll get that lock tucked in nicely and Punk will tap. Haha, all night you said Jim, Angle may have him already!” Regal’s wrong though as Punk is very quick to get to the ropes and Angle has to let go of Punk’s leg. Punk moves so that he goes through the rope and to the apron. Angle goes for him and the two exchange rights before Punk sets for a suplex. Regal: “That’s going to hurt both men Jim, a suplex to the outside is a killer!” Punk tries the move, but Angle just about counters so that he’s lifted over the top rope, but he’s then on the apron beside Punk. The two exchange fists again, but Punk then lifts a leg to kick Angle right upside his head. Angle falls to the floor and Punk quickly gets back in the ring. He runs toward the far set of ropes and then comes back to go diving through and he connects with Angle, ramming him right into the barricade! This Los Angeles audience is loving the action as Punk then grabs Angle to put him against the barricade. The crowd yell ‘Wooo!’ every time Punk performs a back-chop and we see the red marks emerging on Angle’s chest. Punk grabs Angle by the head and he points down along the ringside area, signaling for perhaps a bulldog. He goes for it, but Angle grabs him and then counters to turn him and ram him back-first into the ring apron. The crowd gasp at the impact and Angle then grabs Punk and plants him with a suplex right on the mat at ringside. The contest goes on and we watch as Angle brings Punk back in the ring and he tries another Ankle Lock, but again Punk gets to the ropes. Angle tries to pull him toward the centre of the ring, but Punk kicks him away. Both men get up and as Angle moves for a standing clothesline, Punk counters to duck under and administer a hammer lock. Angle reaches over his shoulder, can’t quite grab Punk so he reaches between his own legs to grab at Punk’s leg and he rolls through. Another attempt at the Ankle Lock, but no, this time Punk stays on his back and kicks at Angle. He kicks at his arms, his shoulder and finally his head. JR: “Kurt Angle’s is an expert in all fields of Professional Wrestling, but he’s not quite managed to hook on that Ankle Lock properly as yet.” Regal: “Yes Jim, and I’ve noticed; look at Punk and where he’s kicking. He’s targeting Angle’s upper body and head. He’s trying to disorientate Angle and then perhaps strike with an Anaconda Vise. This is fascinating.”
Punk gets up after Angle’s attempted Ankle Lock and he follows Kurt to the corner. He lays kicks into his arms and chest before backing up toward the opposite corner. He signals for his high knee, but as he runs to execute, Angle bursts out of the corner to meet Punk centre of the ring. He grabs him belly-to-belly style and pops his hips to throw Punk up and over himself with an over-the-top belly to belly. Angle roars out to the fans and now he thinks this is his chance. He pulls down his shoulder straps and waits for Punk to get up. He attempts the Angle slam, but Punk gets out of it to grab Angle and *BAM* drop him with a DDT! All of Kurt’s momentum is halted and both men are on the canvas now. The crowd clap and rumble the arena to urge both superstars up. Punk is up first and he grabs Angle’s arm, sits on the canvas and administers a cross-armbreaker. JR: “That’s Alberto Del Rio’s move! CM Punk with Alberto Del Rio’s signature, a move Del Rio was unable to execute this past Wednesday night on Turmoil!” Regal: “But look Jim, look at that!!!” Angle grabs Punk’s legs during the move and he puts Punk in an Ankle Lock! Angle cannot administer the move properly with one arm, but the twist on the ankle is enough to make Punk release the arm. Both men get up at the same time and Angle goes at Punk. Punk swings an arm, but Angle goes under and behind. He lifts him for a German suplex! “Textbook Kurt Angle!” says JR as Angle rolls over to lift Punk and drop him with another German suplex and then another! The Olympian gets to his feet and roars out again before heading to the top rope. Angle is considerably slow to get up and this allows Punk time to get up. Angle’s set for perhaps a frog splash, but Punk’s up the turnbuckles fast and he yanks Angle off with a top rope arm drag! JR: “A variation of Kurt’s own move! Good Lord, both these two are pulling out all the stops!” Regal: “Yes Jim, what a contest this is!” We watch as Punk then heads toward the top turnbuckle and he signals for the diving elbow. He leaps off and nails the move! Punk then finally sees his chance. JR: “This could be it, this could be the time for the Anaconda Vise!” Punk sets for the move, but he can’t get it on because Angle decks him right into another Ankle Lock – but this time it’s dead centre of the ring! Angle’s got his opponent in prime position for victory and the crowd scream and chant as they urge Punk to stay in this. Punk is in excruciating pain and he pushes his forehead toward the canvas to try hide his face. The referee asks him over and over, but he will not tap. He crawls, arm by arm, inch by inch, but Angle has him and there doesn’t seem to be anything he can do. Punk then rolls under himself and the momentum of the switch has Angle let go of the hold and send him toward the corner. He gets up and measures Punk before running at him and decking him with a clothesline. Angle is quickly back toward the ankle again, but this time he stomps on it. He lifts the leg and DDT’s it into the canvas and Regal says “Soon Punk’s not going to be able to walk.” Punk crawls away from Angle and Angle teases him, taunts him to get up. Punk drags himself to his feet by the corner. Angle runs at him, but Punk hits the canvas and Angle smacks the turnbuckles chest-first. Angle drops toward the canvas and Punk grabs him by the head, turns him over and (JR): “Dragon Sleeper! How fitting! Punk’s finishing move is a GTS, a Go-To-Sleep, but in this Submission match right here he may win by putting his opponent to sleep another way.” Regal: “Don’t forget Jim that this is to determine a number one contender to the KWF World Championship. There’s no way Angle’s going to tap to this.” JR: “He may not have to, look, Kurt’s almost out!” Angle is down and his is motionless as Punk torques on the move. The referee checks on Angle and then lifts his arm. It drops. He lifts it again. It drops again. One more time and – no, Angle’s still alive! He fights his way out of the hold with elbows to Punk’s gut and soon he manages to get to the ropes.
“What a match this is” says JR as Punk releases the hold and Angle moves away from him. Angle pulls himself up by the corner and now Punk targets and then connects with his patented running high knee, followed up with a bulldog and Los Angles can’t get enough. Punk gets to his feet and the crowd cheer him on as he measures for the Anaconda Vise. He tries to pick his spot, but no, Angle sees it coming and he trips Punk, moves into position and another Ankle Lock is on! Punk has a desperate look on his face, but is within reaching distance of the ropes. He gets his fingers to it, but Angle begins pulling toward the centre of the ring. Kurt then lies down on the hold and now it’s got to be over! CM Punk can’t take much more of this! However, as Angle lies on the canvas, Punk grabs at his leg to put him in an Ankle Lock too! Regal: “For Christ’s sake.” Angle and Punk have one another deadlocked in a double Ankle Lock! We see Punk sweating as he looks down his own body toward Angle and Punk yells “Taaappp! Tap ouutttt!” Angle grinds his teeth and he yells “You tap! Give up you son of a b*tch!” Neither man can take much more, but neither man will give up. The referee asks them both and at the exact same time they both let go. They roll away from one another to take a breath, to back off and check if their ankle’s are still maneuverable. The comms can’t believe their eyes and they talk up how important it is to both these men to win this match. JR: “Kurt Angle has brought the best out of CM Punk, but I don’t think he expected a match like this.” Regal: “Angle’s a proud man Jim and remember, he challenged Punk to this match, a rubber match if you like, to see which of these guys was really a great and to check if either man was full of it. I must admit that CM Punk has impressed me right here, but Angle, I still back him. I think he has it in his locker to make Punk tap.” JR: “One thing’s for certain Mister Regal, neither man is full of it and as much as I don’t always agree with Kurt Angle, I for one would be proud to call either of these superstars the next KWF World Champion.” Both men finally get to their feet. They go at one another in the centre of the ring and after a back and forth exchange of rights, Angle clutches Punk into position for an Angle Slam. He tries it, but no, Punk counters and lifts Angle in position for a GTS and that connects! “Angle is down! Angle is down!” yells JR and we watch as CM Punk finally successfully administers an Anaconda Vise! The crowd go berserk as Punk pulls and pulls on the move. He yells: “Tapppp! Taaaapp!” Angle waits for as long as he can, but he’s nowhere near the ropes, he has nowhere to go and that’s it! Angle taps! Kurt Angle taps!
Winner: CM Punk.
Justin Roberts announces: “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner and new number one contender to the KWF Heavyweight Championship of the World; C… M… Punk!” ♫Punk’s music♫ «< click to play) hits and Staples Center, not for the first time tonight, stands as one to applaud the efforts of both these elite superstars. Punk has his hand raised and the comms review the match. Regal: “He had him Jim, Angle had him ten or twenty times in that Ankle Lock, how did he lose this?” JR: “Ahh I think it’s more about how CM Punk won this contest. You’re right in saying Angle has so many bites at Punk’s ankle, but as we see in replays, watch Punk, he’s targeting every part of Angle that he can. He used Del Rio’s coss-armbreaker and Angle’s own Ankle Lock before hooking on that Anaconda Vise. CM Punk knew what he was doing the whole time and Angle kept going back to the well when it comes to that Ankle Lock. Dear God ladies and gentlemen, what a match that was. It could have gone either way, both men had every right to win this match. But tonight, this night of KWF SummerSlam 2012, your winner is CM Punk.” Punk celebrates up the ramp as Angle is left to pick himself up.

A very smartly dressed man is walking along. The camera pans out and we see that he is in a casino. He heads to the roulette table and immediately puts all his money on 11 black. The ball rolls and he awaits the outcome. All of a sudden, he is barged into. He turns around to confront the person responsible. “Hey, wait you idiot!” The man he has spoken to appears to be none other than Sheamus, who looks angrily at him, before picking him up and powerbombing him through the roulette table. Chips fly everywhere as Sheamus tells him “Gamble with your money, not your life fella.” The ball stops on 11 black. Sheamus then congratulates his victim and dumps a load of chips on him. A graphic fills the screen saying ‘KWF Casino Warfare: Sunday 16th September.’
Another video plays, this time showing us the epic encounter between AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam from last month’s pay-per-view, Sovereignty 4. They faced off in a TLC match for the KWF Title, with both men hitting some outstanding moves and exciting the fans in attendance. Then the moment came. Both men atop the ladder, within a fingertips distance from the Belt. Then after too much shoving, they both fell off, crashing through the piled up tables on the outside. The fans were stunned, the comms wondered if the match could continue, until… ♫Break the walls down! Break down the walls!♫ «< click to play). Chris Jericho came down to the ring in a full suit, with the Money in the Bank briefcase he won at KWF WrestleMania. He cashed it in, became a part of the match, and climbed the ladder with all the calmness in the world. He unhooked the Belt and became the KWF World Champion with the minimum of effort. Jericho went on to brag about his win, and how it proved he was not only the Best in the World at what he does, but that he is also the smartest. However, he was soon brought back down to earth as Edge revealed that for his first defense, he would be facing the two men he denied at Sovereignty, Styles and Van Dam, in a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam. He also said that the three men would pick one another’s opponents in the following three weeks main events. In the first week, Jericho picked Big Show for Van Dam. The night ended with Jericho and Show beating down Van Dam, and the Michigan man having to rely on Sheamus to save him. The next week saw Van Dam pick John Cena to take on Styles. The Phenomenal One got the win, but Cena responded with an FU, and the night ended with Jericho picking the bones and getting him in the Walls, with no save from RVD. Then last Wednesday we saw Jericho in the main event, and as his opponent AJ Styles picked Rob Van Dam. The duo reluctantly fought one another, and it ended with a Double count-out. They continued battling, and Jericho nearly applied the Walls, but this time Styles raced out to make the save. The three men stared one another down, and now it’s time to see just who will take how the top prize in wrestling today, the KWF World Heavyweight Championship.
Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles vs. Rob Van Dam – Triple Threat match for the KWF World Heavyweight Championship
All three men enter to pretty good acclaim, though Jericho receives his share of boosl. All of them look at one another as the bell rings and our SummerSlam main event is under way. Jericho decides to run straight at RVD, but gets a spin kick right to the mouth for his trouble. The impact of it causes him to fall all the way to the outside, and we’re now in a one-on-one situation. AJ looks a bit shocked, but is soon tied up with Van Dam. They trade blows and take it to one another while the Champion is out of action. Van Dam gets the better of Styles and sends him against the ropes, but AJ springs off the middle rope and hits a back elbow. The fans cheer as JR points out that Styles is trying to win back the Belt he was never conscious to lose. “I can’t help but feel bad for AJ. One minute he’s defending his Title in a TLC match, he goes through some tables, then when he wakes up he’s lost his Belt, and not even to the guy he was defending against.” Regal: “He lost, he’s not Champion, he needs to get over it and concentrate on this match.” Styles is certainly focussed as he works over Van Dam. He has a look of determination in his eye, and isn’t holding anything back. He hits knife-edge chops to RVD, before sending him against the ropes. He goes for a standing dropkick, but Van Dam holds onto the ropes and Styles falls to the canvas. Van Dam laughs, but not for long as Jericho grabs his legs and pulls RVD to the outside. He smacks him across the face, before launching him into the barrier. Jericho raises his arms to the crowd, but then gets landed on by AJ Styles who has flung himself over the top rope. The fans cheer loud as Styles takes Y2J out, and throws his arms out in celebration. He picks Jericho and throws him into the ring, but before he can follow, RVD has leapt off the barrier and kicked Styles in the side of the head. He then heads into the ring and now he and Jericho go at it, with Van Dam on top. He hits a snapmare and a boot to the back, before coming off the ropes and hitting a dropkick to the face. He covers but Jericho kicks out comfortably. Jericho gets up but RVD hits him with a series of kicks, ending with a roundhouse to the head. Van Dam turns to the crowd and does the Rob Van Dam thumb taunt, but its cut short as Styles comes flying off the top rope and nails RVD with a flying forearm smash. He covers and gets Two. He then covers Jericho who is still down, and also gets Two.
The match goes on with the fans encapsulated and all three men getting some shots in, with Jericho finally getting into the match by dumping Styles to the outside and nailing Van Dam with a Lionsault. He gets Two. He then looks to get RVD in the Walls of Jericho, and manages to turn him over. Van Dam is in trouble and looks close to tapping. However, Styles comes to the rescue as he again leaps off the top rope and hits a kick to Jericho’s head, causing the hold to break. He covers Jericho but RVD breaks the pin. As the trio trade blows again, it’s clear that they are starting to tire. JR: “At this stage of a Triple Threat match it becomes crucial that you keep your wits about you. You will get tired and you will sweat blood, but you have to be aware of both your opponents.” Regal: “I thought I was the ex-wrestler here?” Jericho hits Styles with a Codebreaker from out of nowhere! He covers, but again Van Dam is in there to make the break. He takes it to Jericho now, hitting him with more kicks and a DDT. Another cover and another break-up, this time by AJ. Before too long there are weapons involved. Jericho takes a steel chair into the ring, and swings for AJ, but he ducks and hits a Pele! Booting the chair into the face of Jericho. Y2J stumbles and straight into a Van Daminator! He goes down, and AJ and RVD look to one another. They both scramble for the pin, but neither will let the other one cover Jericho, who doesn’t look like he could kick out of a count of three hundred. They scrap it out, and Van Dam throws AJ against the ropes and ducks, before bringing his legs up to flip AJ in the air. However, Styles lands on his feet, and then hits Van Dam with a Pele! The fans go wild as AJ covers, and gets only two. Again he scrambles over to Jericho and covers, but two is the count once more. JR: “I don’t think AJ Styles could do any more to win this match, but in a Triple Threat it becomes twice as hard to win.” Jericho exits to the outside to recover. AJ goes to follow, but he gets intercepted by Van Dam, who hits a headbutt and then a kick to the face to send AJ down. Van Dam does the RVD taunt and comes off the ropes to hit Rolling Thunder. The fans cheer him as he grabs the steel chair. He looks at Styles, and then lays the chair next to him. He pulls Styles onto the chair, then leaps to the top rope. He does the RVD taunt again as he’s about to go for the Five Star Frog Splash. However, as he leaps off, Jericho reaches in and pulls Styles out of the ring. Van Dam lands right on the chair, and is in a great deal of pain. Jericho slides in and as RVD gets to his feet holding his ribs, *BAM!* Jericho nails him with a Codebreaker! He hooks the legs and the referee counts One, Two and Three!
Winner and Still KWF World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Jericho.
Y2J is ecstatic with his win, and demands the Belt be handed to him straight away. He holds the Title above his head, as even he can’t believe that he managed to pull this off. JR: “He looked out of this match for so long, but Chris Jericho has pulled it out of the bag. He waited for his opportunity and took it. He is still the KWF Champion and… wait a sec…” JR stops himself as we see CM Punk race down and slide into the ring. Jericho’s music stops as Punk lifts him up. The Champ drops the Belt and Punk nails him square in the face with the Go To Sleep! He grabs the Belt and raises it above his own head, before looking down at Jericho, looking toward the fans and exclaiming “Best in the Worrrrlllld!!!” JR: “CM Punk, the new number one contender! He wanted to make a statement to Chris Jericho right away, and he has done just that!” Regal: “Now really, that is such poor sportsmanship. Let Chris have his moment. But no, CM Punk can’t do that. He has to pick the bones. Very poor form.” JR: “What? This is exactly what Jericho has been doing for the past month! He got what he deserved.” Punk keeps the Title above him as the fans cheer and JR signs us off. “What a show it has been ladies and gentlemen, and it ends with a look ahead to what we can expect at Casino Warfare. Chris Jericho and CM Punk will do battle, and personally I cannot wait to see how this pans out. From all of us here in the KWF, we hope you’ve enjoyed SummerSlam, and we look forward to seeing you this Wednesday for another night of Turmoil! Goodnight from Los Angeles!” We fade out on the image of the new number one contender, CM Punk.
